A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Obey the special precautions when you do work on a gaseous oxygen system (Ref. AMM TASK 35-00-00-860-001).
   (2) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Get Access
   (1) Remove the portable oxygen cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 35-32-42-000-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 35-32-42-210-053-A
A. Do a visual inspection of the portable oxygen cylinders
   (1) If one or more of the inspections is/are not satisfactory, you must replace the related equipment.
   (2) Make sure that the cylinders are clean.
   (3) Examine the cylinders for dents, scratches, cracks and corrosion.
   (4) Make sure that the protective treatment is not damaged.
   (5) Examine the pressure regulators for damage and make sure that they are clean and correctly attached.
   (6) Examine the pressure gages for damage and make sure that you can read the scale.
   (7) Make sure that the quantity of available oxygen in the oxygen cylinders obeys the regulations specified for the aircraft.
   (8) Examine the filling valves, the relief valves and outlet connections for correct attachment and make sure that they are clean.
   (9) Examine the carrying-straps for damage and correct attachment.
   (10) Examine the stowage bags for damage and correct attachment.
   (11) Make sure that the oxygen masks and the supply hoses are not damaged and in the correct condition.
   (12) Make sure that the supply hoses are correctly connected to the constant-flow outlets.
   (13) Make sure that the stowage positions and the quick-release clamps are clean and in the correct condition.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the portable oxygen cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 35-32-42-400-001).

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
