A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the special precautions when you do work on a gaseous oxygen system (Ref. AMM TASK 35-00-00-860-001).
(2) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Get Access
(1) For the location of this component, refer to paragraph Component Location
(Ref. AMM D/O 35-32-00-00).
(2) Get access to the portable oxygen cylinders. If necessary, open the applicable doors.
(3) Remove the portable oxygen cylinders from their quick-release supports.
(4) For the oxygen mask assemblies:
(a) Remove the oxygen mask assemblies from their stowage bags.
(b) Make sure that the oxygen mask assemblies are connected to the continuous-flow outlets of the oxygen cylinders.
(5) For the full-face smoke masks:
(a) Remove the full-face smoke masks from their stowage positions.
(b) Make sure that the full-face smoke masks are connected to the uncalibrated smoke-mask connection of the oxygen cylinders, identified as 'LO'.
4. Procedure(1) For the location of this component, refer to paragraph Component Location
(Ref. AMM D/O 35-32-00-00).
(2) Get access to the portable oxygen cylinders. If necessary, open the applicable doors.
(3) Remove the portable oxygen cylinders from their quick-release supports.
(4) For the oxygen mask assemblies:
(a) Remove the oxygen mask assemblies from their stowage bags.
(b) Make sure that the oxygen mask assemblies are connected to the continuous-flow outlets of the oxygen cylinders.
(5) For the full-face smoke masks:
(a) Remove the full-face smoke masks from their stowage positions.
(b) Make sure that the full-face smoke masks are connected to the uncalibrated smoke-mask connection of the oxygen cylinders, identified as 'LO'.

A. Operational Test
(1) Turn the ON/OFF valve of the portable oxygen cylinder to the ON position.
(2) Put on the oxygen mask.
(3) Make sure that the oxygen mask seals completely.
(4) Breathe into the oxygen mask 2 or 3 times and make sure that you can breathe in and out easily.
(a) If the flow indicator is installed, make sure that it shows green color when you breathe in.
(6) Turn the ON/OFF valve of the portable oxygen cylinder to the OFF position.
(7) Make sure that the quantity of available oxygen obeys the regulations for this aircraft.
(8) Do this test again with all the other portable oxygen cylinders and related oxygen masks.
5. Close-up(1) Turn the ON/OFF valve of the portable oxygen cylinder to the ON position.
(2) Put on the oxygen mask.
(3) Make sure that the oxygen mask seals completely.
(4) Breathe into the oxygen mask 2 or 3 times and make sure that you can breathe in and out easily.
(a) If the flow indicator is installed, make sure that it shows green color when you breathe in.
NOTE: There is no flow indicator on the full-face smoke masks.
(5) Take off the oxygen mask.(6) Turn the ON/OFF valve of the portable oxygen cylinder to the OFF position.
(7) Make sure that the quantity of available oxygen obeys the regulations for this aircraft.
(8) Do this test again with all the other portable oxygen cylinders and related oxygen masks.

A. Mask Cleaning
(a) Use Disinfectant and cleaner-Oxygen Mask - - (Material No.11CKA1) to clean the surface of the oxygen mask assembly.
(b) Let the oxygen mask fully dry in the air.
(2) If the oxygen mask is too dirty, replace it with a new one (Ref. AMM TASK 35-32-42-000-001).
(3) Before the installation or packing of the oxygen masks, make sure that all the oxygen masks are in the serviceable condition.
Subtask 35-32-00-410-052-A WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(1) If necessary, clean the oxygen mask assembly as follows:(a) Use Disinfectant and cleaner-Oxygen Mask - - (Material No.11CKA1) to clean the surface of the oxygen mask assembly.
(b) Let the oxygen mask fully dry in the air.
(2) If the oxygen mask is too dirty, replace it with a new one (Ref. AMM TASK 35-32-42-000-001).
(3) Before the installation or packing of the oxygen masks, make sure that all the oxygen masks are in the serviceable condition.
B. Close Access
(1) For the oxygen mask assemblies: Install the serviceable oxygen mask assemblies in their stowage bags (Ref. AMM TASK 35-32-42-400-001).
(2) For the full-face smoke masks: Install the serviceable full-face smoke masks in their stowage positions.
(3) Make sure that the oxygen mask assemblies or the full-face smoke masks are connected to the continuous-flow outlets of the portable oxygen cylinders.
(4) Install the portable oxygen cylinders in their quick-release supports.
(6) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(7) If necessary, close the doors that you opened for access.
Subtask 35-32-00-860-056-A (1) For the oxygen mask assemblies: Install the serviceable oxygen mask assemblies in their stowage bags (Ref. AMM TASK 35-32-42-400-001).
(2) For the full-face smoke masks: Install the serviceable full-face smoke masks in their stowage positions.
(3) Make sure that the oxygen mask assemblies or the full-face smoke masks are connected to the continuous-flow outlets of the portable oxygen cylinders.
(4) Install the portable oxygen cylinders in their quick-release supports.
NOTE: When the equipment is correctly installed, you can easily read the pressure gage of the portable oxygen cylinder.
(5) The distance between the portable oxygen cylinders with oxygen masks and adjacent aircraft components must not be less than 6 mm (0.2362 in.). (6) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(7) If necessary, close the doors that you opened for access.
C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
