Removal of Oxygen Masks from Decentralized Gaseous-Oxygen Container in the Lavatories
WARNING:
KEEP ALL HYDROCARBONS (FUELS, LUBRICANTS, ETC.) AWAY FROM ALL SOURCE OF OXYGEN. OXYGEN BECOMES EXPLOSIVE WHEN IT TOUCHES HYDROCARBONS.
WARNING:
CLEAN THE TOOLS AND MAKE SURE YOUR HANDS ARE CLEAN TO PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE OXYGEN SYSTEM.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND NATIONAL HAZARDOUS MATERIAL REGULATIONS WHEN YOU MOVE OR KEEP THIS EQUIPMENT IN STORAGE:
- CHEMICAL OXYGEN GENERATORS
- PROTECTIVE BREATHING EQUIPMENT
- FIXED AND PORTABLE OXYGEN CYLINDERS.
WARNING:
WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE GASEOUS OXYGEN SYSTEM, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE APPLICABLE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE PRECAUTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:
PUT DRY AND CLEAN METAL OR PLASTIC PLUGS ON ALL PIPES OR UNITS THAT YOU REMOVE TEMPORARILY. THEN PUT EACH PIPE OR UNIT IN A SEALED VINYL BAG. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, CONTAMINATION OF THE OXYGEN SYSTEM CAN OCCUR.

A. Removal of the Oxygen Mask Assemblies
(2) Carefully remove the oxygen mask assemblies (1) from the oxygen container (10).
(3) Remove the ejector strip (11) from the slot of the oxygen container (10). Do not remove the ejector strip (11) from the slot of oxygen container door (13).
(4) Installation of the AIPC 35-22-54-99-010 RING (8) or AIPC 35-22-89-99-010 RING (8):
(a) Install the safety pin with the warning flag (8) in the hole (2) of the actuator housing (12).
(b) Close the safety pin with the warning flag (8).
(5) Remove the release pin (7) with a mask lanyards (4) from the actuator housing (12).
(7) Remove the remaining mask lanyard (4) from the release pin (7).
(8) If applicable, disconnect the red flag 'PULL' (16) from the snap hook of the oxygen mask lanyard (4).
(9) Remove the supply hoses (3) from the manifold outlets (5):
(a) Use a CUTTER - THIN BLADE to carefully cut the end of the supply hoses (3) directly behind the recess (9) of the manifold outlets (5). Do not cut the manifold outlets (5).
(b) Hold the manifold (6) tightly and carefully remove the supply hoses (3) from manifold outlets (5).
