A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the anti-collision lights.
(2) For the upper anti-collision light:

Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 6M (20 FT) in position at the upper anti-collision light.

C. Check of the Lens
(1) If you have installed adhesive film tape on the lens of the anti-collision light, go to Para. 4 A.
(2) If you have removed the flash tube assy or the cage of anti-collision light, go to the Para.4. B.

C. Check of the Lens
(1) If you have installed adhesive film tape on the lens of the anti-collision light, go to Para. 4 A.

4. Procedure
Subtask 33-48-00-440-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Adhesive Film Tape on the Anti-Collision Light

Anti-Collision (Beacon) Lights ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Remove the adhesive film tape from the related lens of the anti-collision light.
(2) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the screws (1) of the lens (23).
(a) Make match marks on the screws (1) and/or their positions to help with the installation procedure (different screw sizes).
(4) Remove and discard the lens (23) of the anti-collision light 6LV or 7LV.
(5) Remove the seal:
(a) FOR [6LV] (ANTI COLLISION LIGHT)

Remove the seal (22) and discard it.

(b) FOR [7LV] (ANTI COLLISION LIGHT)

Remove the seal (32) and discard it.

(6) Install a new seal:
(a) FOR [6LV] (ANTI COLLISION LIGHT)

Install a new seal (22).

(b) FOR [7LV] (ANTI COLLISION LIGHT)

Install a new seal (32).

(7) Install the new lens (23) with a new gasket (23) or (32) on the fuselage (8) with the screws (1).

NOTE: Refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure to install the screws (1) in the correct position.

(a) Tighten the screws (1).
(8) Go to Para.5. A.

Subtask 33-48-00-440-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Adhesive Film Tape on the LED Anti-Collision Light
(1) Remove the adhesive film tape from the lens of the anti-collision light.
(2) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with WATER - SOAPY SOLUTION or Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) .
(3) Replace the lens of the LED anti-collision (beacon) light (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-00-960-801).
(4) Go to Para. 5.A.

Subtask 33-48-00-440-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS WITH YOUR FINGERS. THE OILS FROM YOUR SKIN WILL QUICKLY CAUSE DETERIORATION OF THE LAMP. IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS, CLEAN IT WITH A LINT-FREE CLOTH.

B. Reactivation of the Anti-Collision Lights

Anti-Collision (Beacon) Lights ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

NOTE: For the torque values of the screws see the related AMM 20-21-11 (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-11-911-001).

(1) Remove the adhesive film tape from the related anti-collision light.
(2) Remove the adhesive film tape from the cable hole in the housing (15) of the anti-collision light.
(3) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(4) Remove the countersunk screws (3) from the housing (15).
(5) Lift the housing (15) until you can see the electrical connector (9).
(6) Disconnect the electrical connector (9) from the housing (15) and support the electrical connector (9).
(7) Replace the seal:
(a) FOR [6LV] (ANTI COLLISION LIGHT)
discard the seal (14) and install a new AIPC 33-48-12-01-040 SEAL (14).
(b) FOR [7LV] (ANTI COLLISION LIGHT)
discard the seal (34) and install a new AIPC 33-48-11-01-040 SEAL (34).
(8) Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(9) Connect the electrical connector (9) to the housing (15).
(10) Remove the screws (5) and the plate (4) from the housing (15).
(11) Remove the screw (6) and the transformer (7) from the housing (15).
(12) Support the transformer (7).
(13) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(14) Put the leads of the flash tube assy (21) through the cable hole of the housing (15).
(15) Install the flash tube assy (21) on the housing (15).
(16) Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(17) Connect the electrical connectors (17) to the transformer (7).

NOTE: Obey the identification labels made during the removal procedure to get the correct polarity and remove the identification labels.

(18) Install the transformer (7) in the housing (15) with the screw (6).
(19) Install the plate (4) on the housing (15) with the screws (5).
(20) Install the housing (15) and the seal (14) or (34) on the flange (10) with the countersunk screws (3).
(21) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) to the heads of the countersunk screws (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802) and let it dry.
(22) Apply the Varnish-- Electrical Bonding Structure (Material No.04TMB2) to the head of the countersunk screw (3) which gives the electrical bonding.
(23) Install the flash tube assy (21) on the housing (15) with the four screws (2).
(24) For the rubber bung (24) of the new lens (23) obey subsequent:
(a) FOR [6LV] (ANTI COLLISION LIGHT)
remove the rubber bung (24) from the new lens (23) if installed.

NOTE: You must remove the rubber bung (24) from the new lens (23) to prevent that the condensed water stays in the lens (23).

(b) FOR [7LV] (ANTI COLLISION LIGHT)
make sure that the rubber bung (24) is correctly installed in the new lens (23).
(25) Install a new seal:
(a) FOR [6LV] (ANTI COLLISION LIGHT)
install a new AIPC 33-48-12-02-030 SEAL (22).
(b) FOR [7LV] (ANTI COLLISION LIGHT)
install a new AIPC 33-48-11-01-030 SEAL (32).
(26) Install the new lens (23) on the fuselage (8) with the countersunk screws (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-11-400-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-12-400-001).

NOTE: The pin (16) must engage in the rubber bung (24) if installed.

NOTE: Refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure for the screw (1) installation in the correct position.

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Make an entry in the aircraft technical log that the lens of the anti-collision light has been replaced.
