A. Safety Precautions
(1) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On panel 400VU:
Subtask 32-44-19-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On panel 400VU:
- Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
- The Green hydraulic system
- The Yellow hydraulic system.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(2) Depressurize the Yellow and Green hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the wheel chocks are in position.
(4) On panel 110VU, set the PARK BRK control-switch to the OFF position.
(5) On panel 402VU, set the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch to the OFF position.
(6) Operate the brake pedals until the pressure in the brake accumulator of the Yellow hydraulic system is at zero.
(7) Make sure that the applicable hydraulic reservoirs are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
Subtask 32-44-19-865-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(2) Depressurize the Yellow and Green hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the wheel chocks are in position.
(4) On panel 110VU, set the PARK BRK control-switch to the OFF position.
(5) On panel 402VU, set the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch to the OFF position.

D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable false rear spar, at zone 571(671).
(2) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the applicable alternate-brake manifold to collect hydraulic fluid leakage.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable false rear spar, at zone 571(671).
(2) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the applicable alternate-brake manifold to collect hydraulic fluid leakage.
Subtask 32-44-19-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Pressure Transducer
(2) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(3) Remove the bolts (2) and the pressure transducer (4) from the alternate-brake manifold (5).
(4) Remove and discard the packing (1).
(5) Put a PLUG - BLANKING in the hydraulic openings of the alternate-brake manifold and the pressure transducer (4).
WARNING:
DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:
- FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER
- GET MEDICAL AID.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (3). (2) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(3) Remove the bolts (2) and the pressure transducer (4) from the alternate-brake manifold (5).
(4) Remove and discard the packing (1).
(5) Put a PLUG - BLANKING in the hydraulic openings of the alternate-brake manifold and the pressure transducer (4).
