A. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, on right center instrument panel 400VU, put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing-gear control lever.
(2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.

B. Get Access
(1) Open the doors of the Nose Landing Gear (NLG) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the NLG doors in zones 123 and 124.
(3) Open the avionics compartment doors 812 and 822 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the avionics compartment door 812 and 822 in zones 123 and 124.

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-42-52-020-050-A

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE NLG DOWNLOCK SAFETY PIN AND THE TWO DOOR SAFETY PINS ARE INSTALLED.

A. Removal of the Travel-Limitation Bar

NOTE: Two persons are necessary for this procedure: one to remove the nuts (4) from the right and left avionics compartments and the other to remove the bolts (1) from the NLG wheel well.

(1) Remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(2) Remove the sealant around the fitting stops (2) with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(3) Remove the nuts (4) and bolts (1).
(4) On the left side:
(a) Remove the nut (5) and bolt (3).
(b) Push the fitting stop (2) in on the bar (7) and remove the bar assembly.
(5) On the right side, remove the nuts (5) and the bolts (3).
(6) Remove the fitting stops (2) and the spacers (6) from the bar (7).
