Removal of the NLG Downlock Release Actuator
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
PRESSURIZE ONLY THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM(S) THAT IS (ARE) NECESSARY FOR THE TASK. ISOLATE THE OTHER HYDRAULIC SYSTEM(S) BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE CONTROLS AGREE WITH THE POSITION OF THE ITEMS THEY OPERATE BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF HYDRAULICALLY OPERATED ITEMS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001)
(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001)
Subtask 32-31-23-010-050-A (1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.

(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system

B. Get Access
(1) Open the doors of the nose landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in zone 123.

C. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
(4) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) in position below the NLG downlock release actuator (2845GM).
4. Procedure(1) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
- on the panel 40VU in the cockpit,
- on the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system access door (197CB).
(4) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) in position below the NLG downlock release actuator (2845GM).

A. Removal of the NLG Downlock Release Actuator
(2) Remove and discard the cotter pin (13).
(3) Remove the nut (12) and the washer (11).
(4) Disconnect the actuator (1) from the shaft (10).
(5) Remove and discard the cotter pin (4).
(6) Remove the nut (5) and the washer (6).
(7) Disconnect the actuator (1) from the shaft (8) and remove the actuator (1).
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
(1) Disconnect the hydraulic lines (2) and (3) from the frame side only, and put the PLUG - BLANKING on each disconnected line end. (2) Remove and discard the cotter pin (13).
(3) Remove the nut (12) and the washer (11).
(4) Disconnect the actuator (1) from the shaft (10).
(5) Remove and discard the cotter pin (4).
(6) Remove the nut (5) and the washer (6).
(7) Disconnect the actuator (1) from the shaft (8) and remove the actuator (1).
NLG Downlock Release Actuator
