Detailed Inspection of the Torque-Link Damper-Assemblies

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 32-11-27-941-055-A
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) On the panel 400VU:
  • make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
  • put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
4. Procedure
Subtask 32-11-27-210-055-A
A. Detailed Inspection of the Torque-Link Damper-Assemblies
   (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (2) Make sure that the level indicator shows a level between the REFILL line and the FULL line. If the torque link damper is at the REFILL position fill the damper (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-32-611-006).
   (3) Examine the torque link dampers to make sure that:
  • there are no hydraulic leaks between the reservoir and the damper
  • there is no external damage of the damper assembly
  • the bolts are correctly safetied with lockwire
  • the cover is correctly installed and is not damaged
  • the labels and indicator level lines are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) If you find damage:

A. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the safety barriers.
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
