3. Job Set-up
Subtask 32-11-00-941-085-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) On the panel 400VU:
  • make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
  • put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear controls.
   (4) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to stop the operation of the brakes.
4. Procedure
Subtask 32-11-00-200-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Detailed Inspection of MLG, Shock Absorber Sliding Tube for Cracks with each MLG leg raised in turn
   (1) Examine the LH MLG sliding tube as follows:
NOTE: Do not remove the inboard and outboard wheels at the same time during this inspection. Always make sure that a wheel is correctly installed while the MLG is raised on a hydraulic jack.
     (a) Lift and support the MLG on a hydraulic jack (Ref. AMM TASK 07-12-00-582-002).
     (b) Remove the inboard wheel (Ref. AMM TASK 32-41-11-000-006).
     (c) Remove the inboard brake (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-27-000-001).
     (d) Do a detailed inspection of the inboard area of the MLG sliding tube assembly as given in Messier Dowty VSB 200-32-286 (Ref. VSB 200-32-286).
NOTE: If damage is found, the sliding tube must be replaced (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-13-000-004) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-13-400-004).
     (e) Install the inboard brake (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-27-400-001).
     (f) Install the inboard wheel (Ref. AMM TASK 32-41-11-400-006).
     (g) Remove the outboard wheel (Ref. AMM TASK 32-41-11-000-006).
     (h) Remove the outboard brake (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-27-000-001).
     (i) Do a detailed inspection of the outboard area of the MLG sliding tube assembly as given in Messier Dowty VSB 200-32-286 (Ref. VSB 200-32-286).
NOTE: If damage is found, the sliding tube must be replaced (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-13-000-004) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-13-400-004).
     (j) Install the outboard brake (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-27-400-001).
     (k) Install the outboard wheel (Ref. AMM TASK 32-41-11-400-006).
     (l) Lower the MLG to the ground (Ref. AMM TASK 07-12-00-582-002).
   (2) Do Step (1) again on the RH MLG to examine the RH sliding tube for damage.

A. Detailed Inspection of MLG, Shock Absorber Sliding Tube for Cracks with each leg raised in turn
   (1) Examine the LH MLG sliding tube as follows:
NOTE: Do not remove the inboard and outboard wheels at the same time during this inspection. Always make sure that a wheel is correctly installed while the MLG is raised on a hydraulic jack.
     (a) Lift and support the MLG on a hydraulic jack (Ref. AMM TASK 07-12-00-582-002).
     (b) Remove the inboard wheel (Ref. AMM TASK 32-41-11-000-006).
     (c) Remove the inboard brake (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-27-000-001).
     (d) Do a detailed inspection of the inboard area of the MLG sliding tube assembly as given in Messier Dowty VSB (Ref. VSB 201-32-43).
NOTE: If damage is found, the sliding tube must be replaced (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-13-000-004) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-13-400-004).
     (e) Install the inboard brake (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-27-400-001).
     (f) Install the inboard wheel (Ref. AMM TASK 32-41-11-400-006).
     (g) Remove the outboard wheel (Ref. AMM TASK 32-41-11-000-006).
     (h) Remove the outboard brake (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-27-000-001).
     (i) Do a detailed inspection of the outboard area of the MLG sliding tube assembly as given in Messier Dowty VSB (Ref. VSB 201-32-43).
NOTE: If damage is found, the sliding tube must be replaced (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-13-000-004) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-13-400-004).
     (j) Install the outboard brake (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-27-400-001).
     (k) Install the outboard wheel (Ref. AMM TASK 32-41-11-400-006).
     (l) Lower the MLG to the ground (Ref. AMM TASK 07-12-00-582-002).
   (2) Do Step (1) again on the RH MLG to examine the RH sliding tube for damage.
5. Close-up
Subtask 32-11-00-942-086-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the safety barriers.
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
