4. Procedure
Subtask 31-50-00-710-084-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Check of the Automatic Call-Out Announcements Pin-Programmed in the FWCs
NOTE: The Aircraft Schematic Manual (ASM) gives the auto call-out announcements pin-programmed in the FWCs ASM 315201. You can hear these announcements during A/C operation if their related pins are connected to the ground.
NOTE: During this test, you will not hear the MINIMUM and HUNDRED ABOVE call-outs (if the related FWC pins are grounded or not).
NOTE: You can do this procedure with the FWC1 or the FWC2.
This procedure is for the FWC1. For the FWC2, use the indications between the parentheses.
   (1) Read the pin programming related to the FWC1 (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-50-00-740-002).
   (2) Compare the pin programming related to the FWC1 (2) with the state of the aircraft pin programming given in the ASM ASM 315201.
Subtask 31-50-00-910-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Cautions
   (1) If you hear a continuous sound, push the MASTER WARN light.
   (2) If, during the test, the FAULT legend of the BLOWER pushbutton switch on the panel 22VU comes on.
     (a) Stop the test.
     (b) Do the configuration procedure of the avionics compartment ventilation system (Ref. AMM TASK 21-26-00-860-001).
     (c) Do the test again.
Subtask 31-50-00-710-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. System Test
NOTE: This test is for RA1. For RA2, you must open the circuit breaker 1SA1.
NOTE: Use the BOOMSET 600 OHMS to speak to the person in the aft cargo compartment and in the cockpit.
ACTION
RESULT
On the RA simulator:
  • set these values:
    * START ALT : 0 ft.
    * STOP ALT : 2500 ft.
    * SLOPE : 25 ft/s.

  • the test starts
On the CAPT and F/O PFDs, the ramp test starts. The altitude scale moves up to 2500 ft. and stops after approximately 1 minute 40 seconds.
  • the test stops
On the CAPT and F/O PFDs, the radio altitude data go out of view.

NOTE: The 2500ft call out is not triggered, even if it is activated, because the ramp test begins at 2500ft.
5. Close-up
Subtask 31-50-00-860-071-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
