Configuration of the Avionics Compartment Ventilation System
To have a good flow of air in the avionics compartment when the aircraft is in flight configuration. This is to do all the maintenance procedures when the external temperature is more than 12 deg.C (53.60 deg.F).

Configuration of the Avionics Compartment Ventilation System
WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO THIS PROCEDURE, MAKE SURE THAT THE AIRCRAFT IS NOT PRESSURIZED.
1. Reason for the JobTo have a good flow of air in the avionics compartment when the aircraft is in flight configuration. This is to do all the maintenance procedures when the external temperature is more than 12 deg.C (53.60 deg.F).

(1) In the cockpit, on the center pedestal, set the throttle control lever of engines 1 and 2 in the TO/GA position (TAKEOFF mode).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Do the start procedure of the APU:

- GTCP 36-300 (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86) or
- APS 3200 (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-005) or
- 131-9(A) (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-008).
B. Operational Test
(1) Pressurize the bleed system with the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-001).
(2) On the AIR COND section of panel 30VU, push the PACK1 and PACK2 pushbutton switches (the FAULT and OFF legends go off).
(3) On the VENTILATION section of panel 22VU, push the BLOWER and EXTRACT pushbutton switches (the OVRD legends come on).
(4) On the AIR COND section of panel 30VU:
Subtask 21-26-00-710-081-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Pressurize the bleed system with the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-001).
(2) On the AIR COND section of panel 30VU, push the PACK1 and PACK2 pushbutton switches (the FAULT and OFF legends go off).
(3) On the VENTILATION section of panel 22VU, push the BLOWER and EXTRACT pushbutton switches (the OVRD legends come on).
(4) On the AIR COND section of panel 30VU:
- Turn the COCKPIT, the FWD CABIN and the AFT CABIN temperature selectors to the COLD position.
B. Operational Test
(1) Pressurize the bleed system with the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-802).
(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU, push the PACK1 and PACK2 pushbutton switches (the FAULT and OFF legends go off).
(3) On the VENTILATION section of the overhead control and indicating panel 22VU, push the BLOWER and EXTRACT pushbutton switches (the OVRD legends come on).
(4) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
5. Close-up(1) Pressurize the bleed system with the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-802).
(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU, push the PACK1 and PACK2 pushbutton switches (the FAULT and OFF legends go off).
(3) On the VENTILATION section of the overhead control and indicating panel 22VU, push the BLOWER and EXTRACT pushbutton switches (the OVRD legends come on).
(4) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
- Turn the COCKPIT, the FWD CABIN and the AFT CABIN temperature selectors to the COLD position.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) In the cockpit, on the center pedestal, set the throttle control lever of engines 1 and 2 in the IDLE stop position (0 degree TLA).
