Installation of the Rain-Repellent Solenoid Valve

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
NOTE: If there is leakage of FORALKYL 2211, you can smell a pine odor.

Subtask 30-45-41-100-051-A
A. Cleaning Instructions
(1) Make sure that the fluid does not stay on the aircraft furnishings.
If the fluid gets on the aircraft furnishings, clean with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) .

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that rain-repellent fluid can is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 30-45-00-600-001).
(2) Make sure that the panel 211LW is removed.
(3) Connect a HOSE - DRAIN to the drain valve of the gage and put the end of the tube in a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(4) Make sure that the connector 3DG1-A and/or 3DG2-A are/is disconnected from the windshield 3DG1 and/or 3DG2.
Subtask 30-45-41-865-051-A (1) Make sure that rain-repellent fluid can is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 30-45-00-600-001).
(2) Make sure that the panel 211LW is removed.
(3) Connect a HOSE - DRAIN to the drain valve of the gage and put the end of the tube in a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(4) Make sure that the connector 3DG1-A and/or 3DG2-A are/is disconnected from the windshield 3DG1 and/or 3DG2.

A. Installation of the Rain-Repellent Solenoid Valve
14QDC1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.5 mm (0.020 inch) CRES - .
(2) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(3) Install the valve (2) on the mounting base (1) of the spray nozzle.
(4) Select the applicable new O-ring (7):
(5) Install the O-ring (7) on the valve (2).
(6) Install the nut (6) on the elbow coupling (5).
(7) Install the elbow coupling (5) and the nut (6) on the valve (2).
(8) Safety the elbow coupling (5) on the valve (2) with the nut (6).
(9) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(10) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the valve (2).
(11) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(12) Connect the line (8) to the elbow coupling (5) and tighten it.
Subtask 30-45-41-420-054-A Subtask 30-45-41-869-052-A WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) Safety the union (3) of the valve (2) with a (2) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(3) Install the valve (2) on the mounting base (1) of the spray nozzle.
(4) Select the applicable new O-ring (7):
(5) Install the O-ring (7) on the valve (2).
(6) Install the nut (6) on the elbow coupling (5).
(7) Install the elbow coupling (5) and the nut (6) on the valve (2).
(8) Safety the elbow coupling (5) on the valve (2) with the nut (6).
(9) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(10) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the valve (2).
(11) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(12) Connect the line (8) to the elbow coupling (5) and tighten it.
C. Pressurization of the System
(1) Push the purge pushbutton of the fluid gage to pressurize the system until the fluid is in its maximum level.
(2) Make sure that the needle of the pressure gage is in the green area.

D. Close-up Operation
(1) Disconnect the hose from the drain valve.
(2) Install the protective cap on the drain valve.

E. Connect the Windshield Connector
(1) FOR FIN 3DB1
(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(b) Connect the connector 3DG1-A on the left windshield 3DG1.
(2) FOR FIN 3DB2.
(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(b) Connect the connector 3DG2-A on the right windshield 3DG2.

(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(b) Connect the connector 3DG1-A on the left windshield 3DG1.
(2) FOR FIN 3DB2.

(b) Connect the connector 3DG2-A on the right windshield 3DG2.
F. Do an operational test of the windshield anti-icing and defogging (Ref. AMM TASK 30-42-00-710-001).

A. Make sure that all the couplings are correctly tightened and that there are no leaks.

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the panel 211LW.
(3) Tighten the four quarter-turn fasteners.
