Subtask 30-21-49-860-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position.
Subtask 30-21-49-010-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

A. Examine the seals (25) to make sure that they are serviceable.
Subtask 30-21-49-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL B. Installation of the Middle Anti-Ice Duct:
(1) Remove the blanking plugs from the anti-ice ducts.
(2) Put the middle anti-ice duct (35) in position. Install the four bolts (40), washers (45), and nuts (50) that attach the middle anti-ice duct (35) to the fireshield. Do not torque the nuts at this time.
(3) Connect the middle anti-ice duct:

(5) Make sure that the middle anti-ice duct (35) is in the correct position.
(6) TORQUE the four bolts (40) to between 70 and 50 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.57 m.daN )
.
(7) TORQUE the nut on the coupling (20) as follows:
(a) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 85 and 70 lbf.in (0.96 and 0.79 m.daN )
.
(b) Lightly hit the perimeter of the coupling in several places. Use a HAMMER - FIBER, not a metal hammer.
(c) Do steps (a) and (b) above two more times. Then do step (1) again.
Subtask 30-21-49-790-071-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the blanking plugs from the anti-ice ducts.
(2) Put the middle anti-ice duct (35) in position. Install the four bolts (40), washers (45), and nuts (50) that attach the middle anti-ice duct (35) to the fireshield. Do not torque the nuts at this time.
(3) Connect the middle anti-ice duct:
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THE SMOOTH CIRCULAR SURFACE OF THE COUPLING IS RADIALLY OUTBOARD FROM THE ENGINE. DO NOT LET THE COUPLING TOUCH ENGINE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE. DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE COULD OCCUR.
(a) Connect the middle anti-ice duct (35) to the top anti-ice duct (15). Use the coupling (20) and a AIPC 30-21-49-01-130 SEAL (25). Tighten the coupling sufficiently to hold the anti-ice duct in position. (4) Connect the middle anti-ice duct:
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THE SMOOTH CIRCULAR SURFACE OF THE COUPLING IS RADIALLY OUTBOARD FROM THE ENGINE. DO NOT LET THE COUPLING TOUCH ENGINE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE. DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE COULD OCCUR.
(a) Connect the middle anti-ice duct (35) to the forward anti-ice duct (30), use the coupling (20) and a serviceable seal (25). Tighten the coupling sufficiently to hold the anti-ice duct in position. (5) Make sure that the middle anti-ice duct (35) is in the correct position.
(6) TORQUE the four bolts (40) to between 70 and 50 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.57 m.daN )
. (7) TORQUE the nut on the coupling (20) as follows:
(a) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 85 and 70 lbf.in (0.96 and 0.79 m.daN )

C. Leak Test
(1) Do the leak test of the middle anti-ice duct with the engine in operation (Ref. AMM TASK 30-21-49-790-803).
