Installation of the Pressure Reducing Valve

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 29-14-43-860-051-A

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration

WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.

(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
(2) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized and put them in the maintenance configuration
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the reservoirs of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems:

in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel,
on the ground service panel of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems.

(5) Make sure that the access panel 195BB is open.

4. Procedure
Subtask 29-14-43-420-050-B

A. Installation of the Pressure Reducing Valve
(1) Remove the blanking plugs from the pressure reducing valve (1) and the reservoir pressurization unit (4).
(2) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the O-ring (3).
(3) Put the O-ring (3) in position on the pressure reducing valve (1).
(4) Put the pressure reducing valve (1) in position and install the bolts (2).

B. Test
(1) Pressurize the reservoirs of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).

NOTE: Monitor the pressure gage 1383GM, 2383GM or 3383GM and make sure that the pressure does not become more than 51.5 psi.

(2) Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the interface of the pressure reducing valve (1) and the reservoir pressurization unit (4) and make sure that there are no leaks.

5. Close-up
Subtask 29-14-43-860-052-A

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and from the ground serice panels of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems.

B. Close the access panel 195BB.

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
