Installation of the Filter Element of the Water Separator
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

Subtask 29-14-42-860-054-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems:
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Make sure that the reservoirs of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Make sure that the access panel 195BB is open.
Subtask 29-14-42-865-054-A WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems:
- in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel,
- on the ground service panel of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Make sure that the reservoirs of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Make sure that the access panel 195BB is open.

A. Installation of the Filter Element
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking plugs from the water separator (3) and the reservoir pressurization unit (2).
(4) Do a check of the filter element (7) and make sure that it is clean and not damaged.
(6) Install the filter element (7) with the AIPC 29-14-41-01-070 PACKING (8) in the reservoir pressurization unit (2).
(7) Install the AIPC 29-14-41-01-085 PACKING (5) and the AIPC 29-14-41-01-083 PACKING (6) on the water separator (3).
(8) Engage the water separator (3) in the reservoir pressurization unit (2).
(9) Install the bolts (4).
Subtask 29-14-42-790-051-B (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking plugs from the water separator (3) and the reservoir pressurization unit (2).
(4) Do a check of the filter element (7) and make sure that it is clean and not damaged.
NOTE: It is not permitted to clean the filter element (7). If necessary, replace the filter element (7) by a new one.
(5) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the packings (5), (6) and (8). (6) Install the filter element (7) with the AIPC 29-14-41-01-070 PACKING (8) in the reservoir pressurization unit (2).
(7) Install the AIPC 29-14-41-01-085 PACKING (5) and the AIPC 29-14-41-01-083 PACKING (6) on the water separator (3).
(8) Engage the water separator (3) in the reservoir pressurization unit (2).
(9) Install the bolts (4).
B. Leak Test
(1) Make sure that the clogging indicator (1) stays in during the test.
(2) Pressurize the reservoirs of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3) Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connection of the water separator (3) and make sure that there is no leak.
5. Close-up(1) Make sure that the clogging indicator (1) stays in during the test.
(2) Pressurize the reservoirs of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3) Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connection of the water separator (3) and make sure that there is no leak.
Subtask 29-14-42-860-055-A
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems.
