A. Installation of the Air Relief Valve
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
CAUTION: YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS LUBRICANT.
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the blanking plugs.
   (4) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
   (5) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the air relief valve (2) and to the AIPC 29-14-03-10-020 O-RING (3) or AIPC 29-14-83-12-020 O-RING (3).
   (6) Position the O-ring (3) and install the air relief valve (2) on the reservoir manifold (4).
   (7) TORQUE the air relief valve (2) to between 3.47 and 3.186 m.daN (25.59 and 23.50 lbf.ft )
T.
   (8) Safety the air relief valve (2) with lockwire 0.8 mm (0.032 in.).
   (9) Connect the union nut (1) to the air relief valve (2).
   (10) TORQUE the union nut (1) to between 8.3 and 7.5 m.daN (61.21 and 55.31 lbf.ft )
