WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

Subtask 29-14-14-860-052-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized and put them in the maintenance configuration
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (3) Make sure that the reservoirs of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems:
  • in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel,
  • on the ground service panel of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems.
   (5) Make sure that the access panel 195BB is open.

4. Procedure
Subtask 29-14-14-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Ground Connector
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the blanking plugs from the ground connector (1) and the air pressurization manifold (3).
   (4) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the O-ring (2).
   (5) Put the O-ring (2) in position on the ground connector (1).
   (6) Install the ground connector (1).
   (7) TORQUE the ground connector (1) to between 1.54 and 1.42 m.daN (11.36 and 10.47 lbf.ft ) T.
   (8) Safety the ground connector (1) with lockwire 0.8 mm (0.032 in.).

B. Leak Test
   (1) Pressurize the reservoirs of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems (
Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
   (2) Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connection of the ground connector (1) and the air pressurization manifold (3).
   (3) Examine the connection for leaks.
5. Close-up
Subtask 29-14-14-860-053-A
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and from the ground service panel of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems.

B. Close the access panel 195BB.
