Installation of the Hydraulic Pressure Tubes
WARNING:

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002)
(2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
(5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the engine 1(2).
(6) Make sure that the fan-cowl doors 447AL/448AR are open.
Subtask 29-13-49-941-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.

(2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- on the ground service panel 198CB.
(5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the engine 1(2).
(6) Make sure that the fan-cowl doors 447AL/448AR are open.
B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
(6) Make sure that a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is below the hydraulic tube connection to the switch (25) to collect the remaining fluid.
4. Procedure(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
- make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- in the cockpit, on the HYD section of the overhead panel 40VU.
- make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(6) Make sure that a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is below the hydraulic tube connection to the switch (25) to collect the remaining fluid.
NOTE: It is permitted to hand tighten the tube and hose connections to make installation easier. Once all the tubes/hoses are installed, torque tighten the connections to the correct values.
Subtask 29-13-49-110-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Remove the applicable covers/caps/plugs from the openings.
(2) Clean the replacement parts and their interfaces
(a) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with cleaning fluid (Material No.V01-002) and clean the replacement parts and their interfaces.
(b) Use a clean, dry Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and remove the dirty cleaning fluid from the parts while they are wet.
(3) Make sure that the replacement parts and their interfaces have no damage.
(4) Lightly lubricate the threads and abutment faces of the hydraulic system tube/hose nuts, unions and couplings with the Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) used in the aircraft hydraulic system.
Subtask 29-13-49-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the applicable covers/caps/plugs from the openings.

B. Install the hydraulic pressure tubes
PRE SBN 29-0001
(1) Make sure that these parts are installed in the position they were removed from (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-000-011):
(a) The clamps (14), (17), (37) and (39).
(b) The bolts (13), (16), (36) and (40).
(c) The hoses (4), (6) and (7) and the tube (11).
(2) Install the tube (11).
(a) Put the tube on the engine, in the correct position for installation.
(b) Attach the connector nut of the tube to the union (32). Tighten the connector nut with your hand.
(c) Hold the union (32) with an applicable wrench.
(d) TORQUE the bulkhead union nut of the union (32) to between 600 and 500 lbf.in (6.78 and 5.65 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(e) Loosely assemble the two halves of the clamp (39) and the three bolts (40) to the raft (38).
(f) Remove the safety ties from the clamp (39) and the raft (38).
(g) Loosely assemble the two halves of the clamp (37) and the three bolts (36) to the raft (34).
(h) Remove the safety ties from the clamp (37) and the raft (34).
(i) Hold the union (32) with an applicable wrench.
(j) TORQUE the connector nut of the tube (11) to between 945 and 855 lbf.in (10.68 and 9.66 m.daN )

(k) TORQUE the bolts (36) and (40) to between 110 and 90 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.02 m.daN )

(3) Install the hose (6)
(a) Connect the hose to the tube (11) and the union (35).
(b) Hold the union (35) with an applicable wrench.
(c) TORQUE the end connector of the hose (6) to between 145 and 135 lbf.in (1.64 and 1.53 m.daN )

(d) Hold the tube (11) and TORQUE the end connector of the hose (6) to between 145 and 135 lbf.in (1.64 and 1.53 m.daN )

(4) Install the lower hose (7)

(a) Connect the hose to the tube (11) and the union (57).
(b) Hold the end of the tube (11) with an applicable wrench.
(c) TORQUE the connector nut of the hose (7) to between 945 and 855 lbf.in (10.68 and 9.66 m.daN )

(d) Hold the union (57) with an applicable wrench.
(e) TORQUE the connector nut of the hose (7) to between 945 and 855 lbf.in (10.68 and 9.66 m.daN )

(f) Connect the hose to the tube (11) and the dampener (58).
(g) Hold the end of the tube (11) with an applicable wrench.
(h) TORQUE the connector nut of the hose (7) to between 945 and 855 lbf.in (10.68 and 9.66 m.daN )

(i) Hold the dampener (58) with an applicable wrench.
(j) TORQUE the connector nut of the hose (7) to between 840 and 752 lbf.in (9.49 and 8.50 m.daN )

(5) Install the upper hose (4)
(a) Put the upper hose in the clamp (14) and (17) in the correct position for installation.
(b) Connect the upper hose (4) to the union (32).
(c) Hold the union (32) with an applicable wrench.
(d) TORQUE the connector nut of the upper hose (4) to between 945 and 855 lbf.in (10.68 and 9.66 m.daN )

(e) Connect the upper hose (4) at the aircraft pylon interface.
(f) TORQUE the connector nut of the upper hose (4) to between 945 and 855 lbf.in (10.68 and 9.66 m.daN )

(g) Install the bolt (13) to the clamp (14).
(h) TORQUE the bolt (13) to between 110 and 90 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.02 m.daN )

(j) TORQUE the bolt (16) to between 110 and 90 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.02 m.daN )

(b) The bolts (13), (16), (36) and (40).
(c) The hoses (4), (19) and (7) and the tube (11).
(2) Install the tube (11).
(a) Put the tube on the engine, in the correct position for installation.
(b) Attach the connector nut of the tube to the union (32). Tighten the connector nut with your hand.
(c) Hold the union (32) with an applicable wrench.
(d) TORQUE the bulkhead union nut of the union (32) to between 600 and 500 lbf.in (6.78 and 5.65 m.daN )

(e) Loosely assemble the two halves of the clamp (39) and the three bolts (40) to the raft (41).
(f) Remove the safety ties from the clamp (39) and the raft (41).

(h) Remove the safety ties from the clamp (37) and the raft (41).
(i) Hold the union (32) with an applicable wrench.
(j) TORQUE the connector nut of the tube (11) to between 945 and 855 lbf.in (10.68 and 9.66 m.daN )

(3) Install the hose (19).
(a) Connect the hose to the tube (11) and the union (42).
(b) Hold the union (42) with an applicable wrench.
(c) TORQUE the end connector of the hose (19) to between 145 and 135 lbf.in (1.64 and 1.53 m.daN )

(d) Hold the tube (11) and TORQUE the end connector of the hose (19) to between 145 and 135 lbf.in (1.64 and 1.53 m.daN )

(f) Remove the safety ties from the clamp (39) and the raft (41).

(h) Remove the safety ties from the clamp (37) and the raft (41).
(i) Hold the union (32) with an applicable wrench.
(j) TORQUE the connector nut of the tube (11) to between 945 and 855 lbf.in (10.68 and 9.66 m.daN )

(h) TORQUE the bolt (13) to between 110 and 90 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.02 m.daN )

(j) TORQUE the bolt (16) to between 110 and 90 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.02 m.daN )

D. Operational Test
(1) Pressurize the hydraulic system of the engine 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002).
(2) Do an operational test of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-00-710-002).
(3) During the dry motoring, make sure that there are no leaks on the hydraulic system of the engine 2 .
5. Close-up(1) Pressurize the hydraulic system of the engine 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002).
(2) Do an operational test of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-00-710-002).
(3) During the dry motoring, make sure that there are no leaks on the hydraulic system of the engine 2 .

A. Close Access
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
close the door 447AL 448AR.
(5) Close the door 195BB.
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
close the door 447AL 448AR.
(5) Close the door 195BB.
