3. Job Set-up
Subtask 29-11-63-860-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic systems:
  • In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel.
   (3) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (5) Make sure that the access panel 197BB is removed.
   (6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position below the service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
   (7) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is in position below the hydraulic connections of the ground connectors.
Subtask 29-11-63-860-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic systems:
  • In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel.
   (3) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (5) Make sure that the access panel 197KB is removed.
   (6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position below the service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
   (7) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is in position below the hydraulic connections of the ground connectors.
4. Procedure
Subtask 29-11-63-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Self-Sealing Ground Connectors
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the union nuts (6) and (11) engage correctly with the ground connectors (5) and (10).
   (4) Remove the old sealant from the surface of the mounting flanges (4) and (9) and the ground service panel (3).
   (5) Install the ground connectors (5) and (10) in the mounting flanges (4) and (9).
   (6) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) to the mating surface of the mounting flanges (4) and (9).
   (7) Remove the blanking plugs from the end-fittings (1) and (8) and the ground connectors (5) and (10).
   (8) Install the ground connectors (5) and (10) with the mounting flanges (4) and (9) at the ground service panel (3).
   (9) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the bolts (7).
   (10) Install the bolts (7) and the nuts (2).
   (11) TORQUE the nuts (2) to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in ) T.
   (12) Make sure that the line-end fittings (1) and (8) are serviceable.
   (13) Connect the line-end fittings (1) and (8) to the ground connectors (5) and (10).
   (14) TORQUE the line-end fitting (1) to between 10.7 and 9.7 m.daN (78.91 and 71.53 lbf.ft )
T.
   (15) TORQUE the line-end fitting (8) to between 10.7 and 9.7 m.daN (78.91 and 71.53 lbf.ft )
T.
   (16) Apply Polyurethane Coating-- Abrasion Resistant Structure (Material No.
04PAD2) to the surface of the mounting flanges (4) and (9).
Subtask 29-11-63-790-050-A
B. Leak Test
   (1) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
   (2) Do a check of the ground connectors (5) and (10) for leaks. No leaks are permitted.
   (3) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
   (4) Make sure that, before you install the union nuts (6) and (11), no hydraulic fluid comes out of the ground connectors (5) and (10).
5. Close-up
Subtask 29-11-63-860-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Remove the container from below the hydraulic connections.
   (2) Remove the access platform from below the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (4) Install the access panel 197BB.
   (5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 29-11-63-860-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Remove the container from below the hydraulic connections.
   (2) Remove the access platform from below the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (4) Install the access panel 197KB.
   (5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
