Removal of the Hydraulic Inline Damper

YOU MUST NOT GET HYDRAULIC FLUID ON YOUR SKIN, IN YOUR EYES OR IN YOUR MOUTH. THE HYDRAULIC FLUID IS POISONOUS AND CAN BE ABSORBED INTO YOUR BODY. IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY GET HYDRAULIC FLUID IN YOUR EYES, MOUTH OR ON YOUR SKIN, FLUSH WITH WATER AND GET MEDICAL AID.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system

B. Safety Precautions
(1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system on the ground service panel.
(3) On the HYD section of panel 40VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system.
(5) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
Subtask 29-11-46-010-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
- Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate this pushbutton switch.
(a) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system on the ground service panel.
(3) On the HYD section of panel 40VU:
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system.
(5) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
C. Get Access

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
Subtask 29-11-46-010-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). E. Get Access
(1) Open the right thrust-reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

A. Removal of the Hydraulic Inline Damper
PU10-0013 container - 0.25 gal. (1 L) below the hydraulic pump connections to collect the remaining fluid.
(2) Remove the hydraulic inline damper (1).
(a) Hold the hydraulic inline damper (1) with a WRENCH - STANDARD and disconnect the hydraulic pressure hose from the hydraulic inline damper (1) on the hydraulic pump.
(b) Collect the hydraulic fluid in thePU10-0013 container - 0.25 gal. (1 L) .
(c) Remove the hydraulic inline damper (1) from the hydraulic pump.
(d) Remove and discard the packings (2), (4) and two retainers (3) from the hydraulic inline damper (1).
(3) Installation of the protection covers
CAUTION:
YOU MUST USE A WRENCH TO HOLD THE MATING PARTS WHEN YOU LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE TUBE NUTS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS CAUTION, YOU CAN TWIST OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TUBES.
CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(1) Put a (2) Remove the hydraulic inline damper (1).
(a) Hold the hydraulic inline damper (1) with a WRENCH - STANDARD and disconnect the hydraulic pressure hose from the hydraulic inline damper (1) on the hydraulic pump.
(b) Collect the hydraulic fluid in the

(d) Remove and discard the packings (2), (4) and two retainers (3) from the hydraulic inline damper (1).
(3) Installation of the protection covers
CAUTION:
INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(a) Install COVER - PROTECTION on the hydraulic pressure hose and hydraulic pump.
