(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the fire extinguisher bottle has the correct weight (Ref. AMM TASK 26-25-00-200-003).
(a) Put the fire extinguisher bottle (4) in its installation position on the waste-bin housing.
(b) Make sure that the discharge outlet is correctly positioned in the hole in the top of the waste-bin housing.
(c) Install the screws (2) with the washers (3).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Get Access
(1) For the location of this component refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 26-25-00-00).
(2) Make sure that the fire extinguisher door (1) is open.

CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT BEND THE DISCHARGE TUBE(S) WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER. IF YOU DO, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE JOINT BETWEEN THE DISCHARGE TUBE AND THE CONTAINER.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE EXTINGUISHER DISCHARGE TUBES POINT IN THE DIRECTION OF THE BIN WHEN THE EXTINGUISHER IS IN POSITION.
A. Installation of the Fire Extinguisher Bottle (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the fire extinguisher bottle has the correct weight (Ref. AMM TASK 26-25-00-200-003).
NOTE: If the fire extinguisher bottle was weighed a short time before this installation it is not necessary to weigh it again.
(4) Install the fire extinguisher bottle (4): (a) Put the fire extinguisher bottle (4) in its installation position on the waste-bin housing.
(b) Make sure that the discharge outlet is correctly positioned in the hole in the top of the waste-bin housing.
(c) Install the screws (2) with the washers (3).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fire extinguisher door (1).
(3) Close the door of the related lavatory.

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
