   (1) Open the forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (2) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to the ON position.
   (3) Remove the sidewall panel 132MW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).

C. Get Access
   (1) Open the aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (2) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the ON position.
   (3) Remove the partition panel 161DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).

C. Get Access
   (1) For aircraft without Additional Center Tanks (ACT) 1 and 2 installed:
     (a) Open aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
     (b) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the ON position.
     (c) Remove sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
   (2) For aircraft with ACT 1 and 2 installed:
     (a) In the aft cabin, remove the center textile-floor covering between frames 62 and 64 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
     (b) Remove floor panel 251DH (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-000-001).
     (c) Remove access panel 161EC from the ceiling of the aft cargo compartment.
     (d) In the bulk cargo compartment, remove sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
4. Procedure
Subtask 26-23-14-960-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Replacement of the Solid-Particle Filter
F Solid-Particle Filter ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1) Remove and discard the lockwire from the filter bowl (4).
   (2) Remove the filter bowl (4) from the filter head (1).
   (3) Remove and discard the o-ring (2) and the solid-particle filter element (3).
   (4) Make sure that the filter bowl (4) and the filter head (1) are clean and in the correct condition.
   (5) Apply hydraulic fluid:
CAUTION: APPLY A SMALL QUANTITY OF THE CORRECT HYDRAULIC FLUID ON THE O-RING. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO IT. MAKE SURE THAT HYDRAULIC FLUID DOES NOT GO INTO THE FILTER. HYDRAULIC FLUID IN THE FILTER CAN CAUSE A MALFUNCTION OF THE SYSTEM.
     (a) Apply a small quantity of Mineral Hydraulic Fluid-Damper - - (Material No.02BBB9) to the new AIPC 26-23-14-01-050 O-RING (2).
   (6) Install the new o-ring (2) on the filter head (1).
   (7) Install the new
AIPC 26-23-14-01-040 SOLID-PARTICLE FILTER ELEMENT (3) together with the filter bowl (4) on the filter head (1).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (8) Safety the filter bowl (4) with lockwire 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.

   (1) Remove and discard the lockwire from the filter bowl (4).
   (2) Remove the filter bowl (4) from the filter head (1).
   (3) Remove and discard the o-ring (2) and the solid-particle filter element (3).
   (4) Make sure that the filter bowl (4) and the filter head (1) are clean and in the correct condition.

   (6) Install the new o-ring (2) on the filter head (1).

AIPC 26-23-14-20-020 SOLID-PARTICLE FILTER ELEMENT (3) together with the filter bowl (4) on the filter head (1).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (8) Safety the filter bowl (4) with lockwire 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) For aircraft without ACT 1 and 2 installed:
     (a) Install sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-003).
     (b) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the OFF position.
     (c) Close aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (3) For aircraft with ACT 1 and 2 installed:
     (a) In the bulk cargo compartment, install sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-003).
     (b) Install access panel 161EC from the ceiling of the aft cargo compartment.
     (c) In the cabin, install floor panel 251DH (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-400-001).
     (d) Install the center textile-floor covering between frames 62 and 64 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-400-001).

C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
