B. Get Access
(1) Remove the lavatory mirror (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-13-000-802).
(2) Remove the soap dispenser (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-14-000-802).
(3) Remove the access door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-18-000-802).
4. Procedure(1) Remove the lavatory mirror (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-13-000-802).
(2) Remove the soap dispenser (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-14-000-802).
(3) Remove the access door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-18-000-802).
Subtask 25-45-38-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Wash Basin of the Space Flex Lavatory
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Open the access doors (1).
(3) Remove the wash basin (23) as follows:
(a) Loosen the clamp (26) and disconnect the hose (27).
(b) Remove the clamp (26).
(c) Loosen the clamp (28) and disconnect the hose (29) from the hose (30).
(d) Remove the clamp (28).
(e) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(f) Remove the screw (20) and the washer (17).
(g) If the lockwasher (19) is installed, remove it.
(h) Disconnect the bonding strap (18).
(i) Cut and discard the tie wraps (37).
(j) Safety the bonding strap (18) to the lavatory.
(k) Remove the nut (36), the lockwashers (35) and (31) and the washers (34) and (32) and disconnect the bonding strap (33).
(l) Safety the bonding strap (33) to the lavatory.
(m) Remove the screws (22) and the washers (21).
(n) Hold the wash basin (23) and remove the screws (25) and the washers (24).
(o) Remove the sealant from the wash basin (23) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(p) Remove the wash basin (23).
(4) Remove the wash basin (7) as follows:
(a) Loosen the clamp (9) and disconnect the hose (12).
(b) Remove the clamp (9).
(c) Loosen the clamp (10) and disconnect the hose (11) from the hose (8).
(d) Remove the clamp (10).
(e) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(f) Cut and discard the tie wraps (37).
(g) Remove the screw (4) and the washer (2) and disconnect the bonding strap (3).
(h) Safety the bonding strap (3) to the lavatory.
(i) Remove the nut (16), the lockwasher (15) and the washer (13) and disconnect the bonding strap (14).
(j) Safety the bonding strap (14) to the lavatory.
(k) Hold the wash basin (7) and remove the screws (6) and the washers (5).
(l) Remove the sealant from the wash basin (7) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(m) Remove the wash basin (7).
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Open the access doors (1).
(3) Remove the wash basin (23) as follows:
(a) Loosen the clamp (26) and disconnect the hose (27).
(b) Remove the clamp (26).
(c) Loosen the clamp (28) and disconnect the hose (29) from the hose (30).
(d) Remove the clamp (28).
(e) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(f) Remove the screw (20) and the washer (17).
(g) If the lockwasher (19) is installed, remove it.
(h) Disconnect the bonding strap (18).
(i) Cut and discard the tie wraps (37).
(j) Safety the bonding strap (18) to the lavatory.
(k) Remove the nut (36), the lockwashers (35) and (31) and the washers (34) and (32) and disconnect the bonding strap (33).
(l) Safety the bonding strap (33) to the lavatory.
(m) Remove the screws (22) and the washers (21).
(n) Hold the wash basin (23) and remove the screws (25) and the washers (24).
(o) Remove the sealant from the wash basin (23) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(p) Remove the wash basin (23).
(4) Remove the wash basin (7) as follows:
(a) Loosen the clamp (9) and disconnect the hose (12).
(b) Remove the clamp (9).
(c) Loosen the clamp (10) and disconnect the hose (11) from the hose (8).
(d) Remove the clamp (10).
(e) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(f) Cut and discard the tie wraps (37).
(g) Remove the screw (4) and the washer (2) and disconnect the bonding strap (3).
(h) Safety the bonding strap (3) to the lavatory.
(i) Remove the nut (16), the lockwasher (15) and the washer (13) and disconnect the bonding strap (14).
(j) Safety the bonding strap (14) to the lavatory.
(k) Hold the wash basin (7) and remove the screws (6) and the washers (5).
(l) Remove the sealant from the wash basin (7) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(m) Remove the wash basin (7).
