A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do a visual inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
Subtask 25-45-22-420-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
WARNING:
ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES, FACE SHIELD AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHES WHEN YOU DO WORK:
- ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, OR
- ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE SYSTEM.
CAUTION:
USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED MATERIALS AND OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURERS. OTHER MATERIALS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION OF THE COMPONENTS AND THE RELATED AREA.
(a) Clean the areas with Disinfectant-Aircraft General - - (Material No.11AAA2) or Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft interior - - (Material No.11CAA1) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) . (2) Do a visual inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
B. Installation of the Toilet Seat and Seat Cover
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Put the hinge (2) in position and install the washers (8) and the nuts (7).
(3) Install the toilet seat (9) and the seat cover (1) into the hinge (2).
(4) Make sure that all of the placards of the retained/new components are in the correct position and in a good condition.
Subtask 25-45-22-420-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Put the hinge (2) in position and install the washers (8) and the nuts (7).
(3) Install the toilet seat (9) and the seat cover (1) into the hinge (2).
(4) Make sure that all of the placards of the retained/new components are in the correct position and in a good condition.
C. Installation of the Toilet Shroud for the Vacuum Toilet
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Put the toilet shroud (3) in position.
(3) Install the clips (6), washers (5) and screws (4).
(a) If necessary, install new placards (Ref. AMM TASK 11-00-00-400-007) and (Ref. AMM D/O 11-00-00-00).
5. Close-up(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Put the toilet shroud (3) in position.
(3) Install the clips (6), washers (5) and screws (4).
NOTE: Make sure you install corrosion resistant steel screws MS24693C52.
(4) Make sure that all of the placards of the retained/new components are in the correct position and in a good condition. (a) If necessary, install new placards (Ref. AMM TASK 11-00-00-400-007) and (Ref. AMM D/O 11-00-00-00).
