Installation of the Center Class Divider

Replacement of the Spring DamperSubtask 25-26-43-860-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the curtain is removed from the center class divider (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-013).
(3) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(6) Make sure that the overhead stowage compartment doors are closed.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the curtain is removed from the center class divider (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-013).
(3) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(6) Make sure that the overhead stowage compartment doors are closed.
Subtask 25-26-43-960-051-A
A. Replacement of the Spring Damper
(1) Remove the spring damper (13):
(a) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(b) Remove and discard the spring pin (5).
(c) Carefully remove the grip (4), the spring (3) and the washer (2).
(d) Remove the nut (7), the snap rings (9), the washers (8) and the bracket (6).
(e) Carefully remove the damper assembly (10).
(f) Remove the lock pins (12) and the pins (11) to release the spring damper (13).
(g) Remove and discard the spring damper (13).
(2) Install the new spring damper (13):
(b) Put the new spring damper (13) in position and install the pins (11) and the lock pins (12).
(c) Make sure that the spring damper (13) turns freely at its two ends. If necessary, increase the width of the two openings to Y= maximum 3.3 mm (0.13 in.).
(d) Make sure that the centre axis of the spring damper (13) aligns with the centre axis of the two openings.
(e) Put the damper assembly (10), the bracket (6), the washers (8) and the snap rings (9) in position and install the nut (7).
(f) Put the grip (4), the spring (3) and the washer (2) in position and install the new spring pin (5).
Subtask 25-26-43-420-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the spring damper (13):
(a) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(b) Remove and discard the spring pin (5).
(c) Carefully remove the grip (4), the spring (3) and the washer (2).
(d) Remove the nut (7), the snap rings (9), the washers (8) and the bracket (6).
(e) Carefully remove the damper assembly (10).
(f) Remove the lock pins (12) and the pins (11) to release the spring damper (13).
(g) Remove and discard the spring damper (13).
(2) Install the new spring damper (13):
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE SPRING DAMPER IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED. IF IT IS INCORRECTLY INSTALLED, THE CENTER CLASS DIVIDER CAN FALL AND INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT CAN OCCUR.
(a) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.(b) Put the new spring damper (13) in position and install the pins (11) and the lock pins (12).
(c) Make sure that the spring damper (13) turns freely at its two ends. If necessary, increase the width of the two openings to Y= maximum 3.3 mm (0.13 in.).
(d) Make sure that the centre axis of the spring damper (13) aligns with the centre axis of the two openings.
(e) Put the damper assembly (10), the bracket (6), the washers (8) and the snap rings (9) in position and install the nut (7).
(f) Put the grip (4), the spring (3) and the washer (2) in position and install the new spring pin (5).
B. (1) Put the class divider (1) with the fork ends (4) in position.
(3) Turn and lower the lever (2) to attach the class divider (1).
Subtask 25-26-43-420-053-Y ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE MCD IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED ON THE SILICONE PROFILE. IF IT IS INCORRECTLY INSTALLED, THE MCD CAN FALL AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
NOTE: For a correct installation of the class divider it is necessary that a ceiling panel is installed in the installation area.
(2) Make sure that the fork ends (4) are correctly attached to the silicone profile (3).(3) Turn and lower the lever (2) to attach the class divider (1).
B. Installation of the Center Class Divider
(1) Make sure that the handle (2) is in a vertical position.
(2) Put the class divider (1) into the rails (6) and move it to the last position.
(3) Push the handle (2) up to lock the class divider (1).
(4) Put the stoppers (4) into the rails (6) and install the screws (5).
Subtask 25-26-43-210-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the handle (2) is in a vertical position.
(2) Put the class divider (1) into the rails (6) and move it to the last position.
(3) Push the handle (2) up to lock the class divider (1).
(4) Put the stoppers (4) into the rails (6) and install the screws (5).
C. Make sure that the placards 'CURTAIN MUST BE OPEN DURING TAKE OFF AND LANDING' are installed on each side of the center class divider.

(1) Install the curtain on the center class divider (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-400-013).
