4. Procedure

A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

B. Installation of the advanced power converter
F Advanced Power Converter ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Put the advanced power converter (6) in position and lock the fasteners (3).
   (2) Connect the electrical connectors:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE SPRING LATCHES CORRECTLY HOLD THE CONNECTOR IN THE FULLY ENGAGED POSITION. THE SPRING LATCHES PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE CONNECTOR, AND THUS THE RISK OF ARCING, WHICH CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE UNIT.
     (a) Install the bonding straps (10) with the washers (9) and the nuts (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
     (b) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (c) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
     (d) Connect the electrical connectors (7) and (4) to the advanced power converter (6).
     (e) Lock the electrical connectors (4) with the spring latches (5).
     (f) Make sure that all not used connectors have a CAP - PROTECTION.
   (3) Put the covers (1) in position and lock the fasteners (2).
   (4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
