A. Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the CAPT(F/O) seat cushion is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-61-000-001).
   (2) If installed, make sure that the CAPT(F/O) seat headrest assembly is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-64-000-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 25-11-63-420-050-E
A. Installation of the CAPT(F/O) Seat-Crotch Strap
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Put the crotch strap (23) in position on the seat pan (22).
   (3) Install the screws (20) and the washers (21).
   (4) Tighten the screws (20).

B. Installation of the CAPT(F/O) Seat-Harness Assembly
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Put the reel assembly (5) in position on the backrest structure and install the screws (2), the washers (3) and the nuts (4).
   (3) Tighten the nuts (4).
   (4) Put the control lever (26) in position and install the screws (24), the washers (25) and the nuts (27).
   (5) Tighten the nuts (27).
   (6) Put the knob (29) in position and install the screw (28).
   (7) Tighten the screw (28).
   (8) Connect the cable (14) to the reel assembly (5) and install the roll pin (15) in the cable end (16).
   (9) Put the abdominal strap (6) and the buckle in position and install the screw (7), the washer (8) and the new AIPC 25-11-51-03-190 SELF-LOCKING NUT (9).
   (10) Make sure that the abdominal strap (6) and the buckle are installed:
  • On the left side of the CAPT seat
  • On the right side of the F/O seat.
   (11) Put the abdominal strap (13) and the connector in position, and install the screw (12), the washer (11) and the new
AIPC 25-11-51-03-190 SELF-LOCKING NUT (10).
   (12) Adjust the angular position of the abdominal straps (6) and (13) at 55 degrees.
   (13) TORQUE the self-locking nuts (9) and (10):
     (a) to between 5.3 and 4.7 m.N (46.90 and 41.59 lbf.in ) T for P/N 8PACN106, or
     (b) to between 14.35 and 13.25 m.N (126.99 and 117.26 lbf.in )
T for P/N NAS679A5.
   (14) Put the reel cover (19) in position and install the screw (18) and the washer (17).
   (15) Tighten the screw (18).

E. Operational Test of the CAPT(F/O) Seat Safety-Harness Assembly
   (1) Do the operational test of the CAPT(F/O)-seat safety-harness assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-63-710-801).

A. De-energize the ground service network
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
