3. Job Set-up

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel 35VU, make sure that the BAT pushbutton switches are released.
   (3) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel 35VU, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the batteries.
   (4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door 822.
   (5) Make sure that the access door 822 is open.
   (6) Make sure that the access panel of the BATTERY power center 105VU is open.

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

4. Procedure
Subtask 24-38-34-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Battery Charge Limiter
   (1) Install the battery charge limiter (1) on its support.
   (2) Install the four screws (4) and the washers (3) and then tighten screws.
   (3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (5) Connect the connector (2) to the battery charge limiter (1).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Do an operational test of the BCL from the CFDS (Ref. AMM TASK 24-38-00-710-001).
NOTE: As an alternative procedure, you can do this operational test without the CFDS (Ref. AMM TASK 24-38-00-710-001).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the access panel of the BATTERY power center 105VU.
   (3) Close the access door 822.
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).

B. De-energize the ground service network
