BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 24-21-49-865-063-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

C. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in correct position.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in correct position.
Subtask 24-21-49-420-060-A
A. Installation of the Integrated Drive Generator (IDG) to Oil Cooler Tubing
(2) Lubricate the threads of the bolts that follow with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) :
(a) The two bolts (9) and the two bolts (10).
(b) The four bolts (7) and the four bolts (8).
(c) The four bolts (14), (19), (26), and (34), and the four bolts (15), (20), (27), and (33).
(3) Install the return oil tube (oil tube) (4) on the engine as follows:
(a) Put the p-clamps (16), (23), (25), and (32) in position on the oil tube (4). Use the record made during the removal procedure to set the p-clamps in the correct position.
(b) Put the oil tube (4) in position on the engine. Align the upper flange of the oil tube with the mating flange of the oil cooler (6).
(c) Loosely install a bolt (33) to attach the p-clamp (32) to the support bracket (31).
(d) Loosely install a bolt (26) to attach the p-clamp (25) to the support bracket (24).
(e) Loosely install a bolt (20) to attach the p-clamp (23) to the support bracket (21).
(f) Loosely install a bolt (15) to attach the p-clamp (16) to the support bracket (17).
(g) Loosely install two bolts (10) to attach the two halves of the saddle clamp (11) to the support bracket (13).
(h) Install a new AIPC 24-21-49-10-140 GASKET (29) in position on the flange of the oil cooler (6).
(i) Loosely install the four bolts (8) that attach the oil tube (4) flange and the gasket (29) to the mating flange of the oil cooler (6).
(j) Adjust the position of the oil tube (4) and the clamps to put the minimum possible pressure on the oil tube.
(k) TORQUE the four bolts (8) at the oil cooler (6) to between 1.3 and 1.23 m.daN (115.04 and 108.85 lbf.in )

(l) TORQUE the four bolts (15), (20), (27), and (33), at the p-clamps to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )
.
(m) TORQUE the two bolts (10) at the saddle clamp (11) to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )
.
(4) Install the supply oil tube (5) on the engine as follows:
(a) Put the p-clamps (18), (22), (28), and (35) in position on the oil tube (5). Use the record made during the removal procedure to set the p-clamps in the correct position.
(b) Put the oil tube (5) in position on the engine. Align the upper flange of the oil tube with the mating flange of the oil cooler (6).
(c) Loosely install a bolt (34) to attach the p-clamp (35) to the support bracket (31).
(d) Loosely install a bolt (27) to attach the p-clamp (28) to the support bracket (24).
(e) Loosely install a bolt (19) to attach the p-clamp (22) to the support bracket (21).
(f) Loosely install a bolt (14) to attach the p-clamp (18) to the support bracket (17).
(g) Loosely install two bolts (9) to attach the two halves of the saddle clamp (12) to the support bracket (13).
(h) Install a new AIPC 24-21-49-10-150 GASKET (30) in position on the flange of the oil cooler (6).
(i) Loosely install the four bolts (7) that attach the oil tube (5) flange and the gasket (30) to the mating flange of the oil cooler (6).
(j) Adjust the position of the oil tube (5) and the clamps to put the minimum possible pressure on the oil tube.
(k) TORQUE the four bolts (7) at the oil cooler (6) to between 1.3 and 1.23 m.daN (115.04 and 108.85 lbf.in )

(l) TORQUE the four bolts (14), (19), (26), and (34), at the p-clamps to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )

(m) TORQUE the two bolts (9) at the saddle clamp (12) to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )

(5) Install the supply hose (3) on the engine as follows:
(b) Use a WRENCH - TORQUE, STANDARD to hold the oil tube (5) while you torque the hose (3).
(c) TORQUE the hose (3) to between 8.76 and 7.48 m.daN (64.60 and 55.16 lbf.ft )

(d) Connect the hose (3) to the IDG (2).
(e) TORQUE the hose (3) to between 8.76 and 7.48 m.daN (64.60 and 55.16 lbf.ft )
(6) Install the return hose (hose) (1) on the engine as follows:
(b) Use a WRENCH - TORQUE, STANDARD to hold the oil tube (4) while you torque the hose (1).
(c) TORQUE the hose (1) to between 12.6 and 10.6 m.daN (92.92 and 78.17 lbf.ft )

(d) Connect the hose (1) to the IDG (2).
(e) TORQUE the hose (1) to between 12.6 and 10.6 m.daN (92.92 and 78.17 lbf.ft )
.
Subtask 24-21-49-612-054-A CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO HOLD THE FITTINGS WHEN YOU TORQUE THE OIL-IN AND OIL-OUT LINES.
IF NOT YOU CAN TRANSMIT TOO MUCH TORQUE TO THE IDG FITTINGS AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE IDG BOSSES.
(1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors. (2) Lubricate the threads of the bolts that follow with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) :
(a) The two bolts (9) and the two bolts (10).
(b) The four bolts (7) and the four bolts (8).
(c) The four bolts (14), (19), (26), and (34), and the four bolts (15), (20), (27), and (33).
(3) Install the return oil tube (oil tube) (4) on the engine as follows:
(a) Put the p-clamps (16), (23), (25), and (32) in position on the oil tube (4). Use the record made during the removal procedure to set the p-clamps in the correct position.
(b) Put the oil tube (4) in position on the engine. Align the upper flange of the oil tube with the mating flange of the oil cooler (6).
(c) Loosely install a bolt (33) to attach the p-clamp (32) to the support bracket (31).
(d) Loosely install a bolt (26) to attach the p-clamp (25) to the support bracket (24).
(e) Loosely install a bolt (20) to attach the p-clamp (23) to the support bracket (21).
(f) Loosely install a bolt (15) to attach the p-clamp (16) to the support bracket (17).
(g) Loosely install two bolts (10) to attach the two halves of the saddle clamp (11) to the support bracket (13).
(h) Install a new AIPC 24-21-49-10-140 GASKET (29) in position on the flange of the oil cooler (6).
(i) Loosely install the four bolts (8) that attach the oil tube (4) flange and the gasket (29) to the mating flange of the oil cooler (6).
(j) Adjust the position of the oil tube (4) and the clamps to put the minimum possible pressure on the oil tube.
(k) TORQUE the four bolts (8) at the oil cooler (6) to between 1.3 and 1.23 m.daN (115.04 and 108.85 lbf.in )
. (l) TORQUE the four bolts (15), (20), (27), and (33), at the p-clamps to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )
. (m) TORQUE the two bolts (10) at the saddle clamp (11) to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )

(b) Put the oil tube (5) in position on the engine. Align the upper flange of the oil tube with the mating flange of the oil cooler (6).
(c) Loosely install a bolt (34) to attach the p-clamp (35) to the support bracket (31).
(d) Loosely install a bolt (27) to attach the p-clamp (28) to the support bracket (24).
(e) Loosely install a bolt (19) to attach the p-clamp (22) to the support bracket (21).
(f) Loosely install a bolt (14) to attach the p-clamp (18) to the support bracket (17).
(g) Loosely install two bolts (9) to attach the two halves of the saddle clamp (12) to the support bracket (13).
(h) Install a new AIPC 24-21-49-10-150 GASKET (30) in position on the flange of the oil cooler (6).
(i) Loosely install the four bolts (7) that attach the oil tube (5) flange and the gasket (30) to the mating flange of the oil cooler (6).
(j) Adjust the position of the oil tube (5) and the clamps to put the minimum possible pressure on the oil tube.
(k) TORQUE the four bolts (7) at the oil cooler (6) to between 1.3 and 1.23 m.daN (115.04 and 108.85 lbf.in )
. (l) TORQUE the four bolts (14), (19), (26), and (34), at the p-clamps to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )

. (5) Install the supply hose (3) on the engine as follows:
NOTE: The supply hose has a smaller diameter than the return hose.
(a) Connect the hose (3) to the oil tube (5). (b) Use a WRENCH - TORQUE, STANDARD to hold the oil tube (5) while you torque the hose (3).
(c) TORQUE the hose (3) to between 8.76 and 7.48 m.daN (64.60 and 55.16 lbf.ft )
. (d) Connect the hose (3) to the IDG (2).
(e) TORQUE the hose (3) to between 8.76 and 7.48 m.daN (64.60 and 55.16 lbf.ft )

(6) Install the return hose (hose) (1) on the engine as follows:
NOTE: The return hose has a larger diameter than the supply hose.
(a) Connect the hose (1) to the oil tube (4). (b) Use a WRENCH - TORQUE, STANDARD to hold the oil tube (4) while you torque the hose (1).
(c) TORQUE the hose (1) to between 12.6 and 10.6 m.daN (92.92 and 78.17 lbf.ft )
. (d) Connect the hose (1) to the IDG (2).
(e) TORQUE the hose (1) to between 12.6 and 10.6 m.daN (92.92 and 78.17 lbf.ft )
. B. Do an addition of oil and do the oil level inspection at the sight glass (Ref. AMM TASK 12-13-24-612-804).
Subtask 24-21-49-865-064-A C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Oil Leak Check
(1) Do an Idle leak check (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-815).
(2) Make sure that the IDG connections, the IDG oil cooler tubes and hoses do not leak (leaks are not permitted).
5. Close-up(1) Do an Idle leak check (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-815).

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
