A. Safety Precautions
   (1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
   (3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
  • To tell persons not to operate the fuel system
  • To tell persons not to refuel the aircraft
  • To tell persons not to operate the flight controls.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).

C. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
WARNING: BEFORE YOU START WORK, YOU MUST PUT ON A SAFETY HARNESS AND ATTACH IT TO THE ACCESS PLATFORM. WITHOUT A SAFETY HARNESS, YOU CAN FALL. THIS CAN KILL YOU OR CAUSE YOU INJURY.
   (2) Put on and attach the HARNESS, SAFETY before you start work in the work area.
   (3) Remove the access panels:
     (a) For the left wing:
     (b) For the right wing:
   (4) To get access to the inboard of RIB2:
     (a) For the left wing:
     (b) For the right wing:

C. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.

   (2) Put on and attach the HARNESS, SAFETY before you start work in the work area.
   (3) Remove access panels 540AB and 640AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001).
   (4) To get access to the inboard of RIB2:
     (a) For the left wing:
     (b) For the right wing:

   (4) Remove RIB2 access panels 540AZ, 540BZ, 640AZ and 640BZ (Ref. AMM D/O 57-27-12-00).
4. Procedure
Subtask 05-25-40-210-054-A
A. Inspection
   (1) Do a general visual inspection of the wing fuel tank (zones 540 and 640).
   (2) Make sure that:
  • There is no damage (corrosion, leaks or cracks) on all the parts of the components and the structure that you can see.
  • All the installations (wiring, bonding leads and piping) are correctly attached.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the surge doors:
     (a) For the left wing:
     (b) For the right wing:
   (3) Install the access panels:
     (a) For the left wing:
     (b) For the right wing:

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install RIB2 access panels 540AZ, 540BZ, 640AZ and 640BZ (Ref. AMM D/O 57-27-12-40).
   (3) Install access panels 540AB and 640AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-400-001).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Refuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003).

C. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Remove the SAFETY BARRIERS.
   (4) Remove all the fixtures, tools, test and support equipment used during this procedure.
