GENERAL VISUAL INSPECTION OF FWD CABIN UTILITY AREA OVERHEAD COMPARTMENT (EWIS)
NOTE: This is an EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) procedure. EWIS is defined in ESPM 20-33-11.

A. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the zone 831 (841).
(2) Open forward passenger/crew door 831 (841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Remove the galleys and the lavatories between FR12 and FR20, if installed.
To do this, refer to the paragraph Component Location in the applicable ATA 25 Description/Operation:
(4) Remove the overhead stowage compartment between FR12 and FR20, if installed
(Ref. AMM TASK 25-24-41-000-001).
(5) Remove the ceiling panels between FR12 and FR20
(Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-001).
(6) Lift the insulation blankets between FR12 and FR20 to do the inspection.
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the zone 831 (841).
(2) Open forward passenger/crew door 831 (841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Remove the galleys and the lavatories between FR12 and FR20, if installed.
To do this, refer to the paragraph Component Location in the applicable ATA 25 Description/Operation:
- For the galleys (Ref. AMM D/O 25-31-00-00)
- For the lavatories (Ref. AMM D/O 25-41-00-00).
(4) Remove the overhead stowage compartment between FR12 and FR20, if installed
(Ref. AMM TASK 25-24-41-000-001).
(5) Remove the ceiling panels between FR12 and FR20
(Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-001).
(6) Lift the insulation blankets between FR12 and FR20 to do the inspection.

A. Do a general visual inspection of the forward cabin utility-area overhead-compartment.
Make sure that:

- There is no damage (corrosion, leaks or cracks) on all the parts of the components and the structure you can see.
- All the installations (wiring, ducting) are attached correctly.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Put the insulation blankets back in position between FR12 and FR20.
(3) Install the ceiling panels between FR12 and FR20
(Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-400-001).
(4) Install the overhead stowage compartment between FR12 and FR20, if removed
(Ref. AMM TASK 25-24-41-400-001).
(5) Install the galleys and the lavatories between FR12 and FR20, if removed.
To do this, refer to the paragraph Component Location in the applicable ATA 25 Description/Operation:
(6) Close forward passenger/crew door 831 (841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(7) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Put the insulation blankets back in position between FR12 and FR20.
(3) Install the ceiling panels between FR12 and FR20
(Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-400-001).
(4) Install the overhead stowage compartment between FR12 and FR20, if removed
(Ref. AMM TASK 25-24-41-400-001).
(5) Install the galleys and the lavatories between FR12 and FR20, if removed.
To do this, refer to the paragraph Component Location in the applicable ATA 25 Description/Operation:
- For the galleys (Ref. AMM D/O 25-31-00-00)
- For the lavatories (Ref. AMM D/O 25-41-00-00).
(6) Close forward passenger/crew door 831 (841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(7) Remove the access platform(s).
