A. Message Analysis
   (1) If a L/G DOOR OPEN TGT POS fault is shown on the Post Flight Report (PFR), on a set of sensors at the same time (+/- 1 minute), then the fault is L/G Door To Slow To Operate. In this condition, do the trouble shooting as follows:
   (2) If a L/G DOOR OPEN TGT POS fault is shown on the PFR on one sensor but not on a set of sensors. Record which LGCIU reported the fault and do the next step.

Subtask 32-31-00-710-058-A
C. Test
   (1) Open the the applicable NLG doors AMM 32-22-00-010-001, or MLG door AMM 32-12-00-010-001, related to the proximity sensor shown on the PFR.
NOTE: After an adjustment has been done, it is a good procedure to cycle the doors one time only. This will show if the adjustment has had the necessary effect.
   (2) Do the flight configuration precautions AMM 32-00-00-860-001, and make sure that all the aircraft systems are in the ground configuration.
   (3) Open the circuit breaker(s) (C/B) which supply the LGCIU in the opposite system to the proximity-sensor shown on the PFR.
  • for proximity sensors, 32GA, 33GA, 36GA and 37GA, open, safety and tag the circuit breaker 2GA, to make sure LGCIU 1 controls the L/G
  • for proximity sensors 34GA, 35GA, 38GA and 39GA, open, safety and tag the circuit breakers 1GA and 52GA, to make sure LGCIU 2 controls the L/G.
   (4) At the ECAM Control Unit, set the WHEEL page.
     (a) At the lower ECAM DU, make sure the wheel page shows that all the L/G doors are fully open:
  • if the applicable door symbol is not correct, do the fault isolation procedure in Para. 4.A.
  • if the fault condition shows in flight, but not on the ground, do the fault isolation procedure from Para. 4.A.(4)
  • if after maintenance work the applicable door symbol is correct, do the next step (5).
NOTE: When the L/G doors are fully open, the door symbol on the wheel page is shown (amber) in a position which is more than 90 degrees from the closed position.
   (5) Return the aircraft to its intial condition:
     (a) Close the C/B(s) opened in step (3).
     (b) Close the L/G door(s) opened in step (1), AMM 32-12-00-410-001 or AMM 32-22-00-410-001.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 32-31-00-810-092-A
A. Procedure
   (1) For the applicable proximity sensor shown on the PFR, do the Inspection of the MLG and NLG Proximity Sensor and Target Clearances, AMM 32-31-73-200-001 or AMM 32-31-73-200-002:
  • if no sensor/target clearance adjustment is necessary, do the step (3)
  • if a sensor/target clearance is adjusted, do the step (2).
   (2) Do the test in Para. 3.B:
  • if the fault continues do the next step.
   (3) Do a check of the resistance of the applicable proximity sensor AMM 32-31-73-820-009:
  • if the resistance values are correct, do the next step
  • if one or more of the resistance values is not correct, do the step (5).
   (4) Use an INDUCTANCE METER 1KHZ to do a check of the inductance of the applicable proximity sensor AMM 32-31-73-820-008:
  • if the inductance is correct, do the step (7)
  • if the inductance is not correct, do the step (5).
   (5) Replace the applicable proximity sensor, shown on the PFR:
   (6) Use an INDUCTANCE METER 1KHZ to do a check of the inductance of the new replacement sensor AMM 32-31-73-820-008:
  • if the inductance is correct, do the next step
  • if the inductance is not correct, do the step (8).
   (7) Do the test in Para 3.C:
  • if the fault continues, do the next step.
   (8) Replace the applicable LGCIU-1 (5GA1) or LGCIU-2 (5GA2) which identified the fault, AMM 32-31-71-000-001 and AMM 32-31-71-400-001.
   (9) Do a check of and repair as necessary, the Aircraft wiring between the:
  • electrical connectors on the applicable proximity sensor and related LGCIU Arinc tray ASM 323103 or ASM 323104.
   (10) Do the test in para 3.C.
5. Close-up
