B. Test
   (1) Do the procedure for the Operational Test of the Crossfeed Valve Using Individual Motors AMM 28-23-00-720-001.
NOTE: During the operational test when the C/B-2QE is set to open, the OPEN legend of the P/BSW-4QE will not come on. This is because the C/B-2QE also supplies 28VDC to the related lamp control circuit in the BOARD-ANN LT TEST & INTFC (6LP).
   (2) If, during the test of the crossfeed system:

  • the ON and/or the OPEN legends of the P/BSW-4QE do not come on, do the procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 28-23-00-810-802)

  • the crossfeed valve status (colored position indication) is shown XX or is not shown correctly on the ECAM, FUEL system display page, do the procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 28-23-00-810-804)

  • the crossfeed valve (10QM) does not open and/or close, do Para. 4.A.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 28-23-00-810-050-A
A. Procedure
   (1) Remove the actuator, crossfeed valve (5QE) AMM 28-23-51-000-001.
   (2) Do a check of the crossfeed valve (10QM) as follows:
     (a) Make sure that the drive spindle of the valve can turn freely:
  • through the 90 degrees between the closed and open position
  • through the 90 degrees between the open and closed position.
   (3) If the drive spindle:

  • does not turn freely, do step (4)

  • turns freely, do step (5).
   (4) Replace the VALVE-FUEL CROSSFEED [10QM] AMM 28-23-41-000-001 and AMM 28-23-41-400-001.
     (a) If the fault continues, do step (5).
   (5) Make sure that the P/BSW-4QE, C/B-1QE and C/B-2QE are still set to the conditions that showed the fault in Para. 3.B. If necessary, reset the conditions.
   (6) Use a MULTIMETER - STANDARD to do a test for 28VDC between a ground point with easy access and the actuator (5QE) test point (connector and pin) as shown in the table that follows.
MOTOR UNDER TEST
FAULT
TEST POINT
MOT 1
does not open
5QE-A, pin A
MOT 1
does not close
5QE-A, pin C
MOT 2
does not open
5QE-B, pin A
MOT 2
does not close
5QE-B, pin C
   (7) At the test point, if 28VDC:

  • was available, do step (8)

  • was not available, do step (9).
   (8) Replace the ACTUATOR-FUEL CROSSFEED VALVE [5QE] AMM 28-23-51-000-001 and AMM 28-23-51-400-001.
   (9) Do a check ASM 282301 of the P/BSW-FUEL/X FEED [4QE] and, if necessary, replace it.
   (10) Do a check of the applicable aircraft wiring ASM 282301 as follows:
     (a) If the actuator 5QE motor 1:
1 Does not turn to the open position:
  • do a wiring check between the P/BSW-4QE, terminal A1 and the connector 5QE-A, pin A.
2 Does not turn to the close position:
  • do a wiring check between the P/BSW-4QE, terminal A2 and the connector 5QE-A, pin C.
     (b) If the actuator 5QE motor 2:
1 Does not turn to the open position:
  • do a wiring check between the P/BSW-4QE, terminal B1 and the connector 5QE-B, pin A.
2 Does not turn to the close position:
  • do a wiring check between the P/BSW-4QE, terminal B2 and the connector 5QE-B, pin C.
     (c) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors ESPM 2053210.
   (11) Do the test given in Para. 3.B.
   (12) If the fault continues, replace the VALVE-FUEL CROSSFEED [10QM] AMM 28-23-41-000-001 and AMM 28-23-41-400-001.
   (13) If the fault continues, do a check ESPM 2052210 of the aircraft wiring ASM 282301 between:
  • The connector 5QE-A, pin D and the SDAC-1, rack connector 1WV1-A, pin 13H
  • The connector 5QE-A, pin D and the SDAC-2, rack connector 1WV2-A, pin 13H
  • The connector 5QE-A, pin B and the SDAC-1, rack connector 1WV1-A, pin 14H
  • The connector 5QE-A, pin B and the SDAC-2, rack connector 1WV2-A, pin 14H.
     (a) If the wiring is not correct:
  • Repair or replace the unserviceable wiring or connectors ESPM 2053210.
  • Do the test in Para. 3.A.
  • If the fault continues, do step (b).
     (b) If the wiring is correct:
5. Close-up
Subtask 28-23-00-860-051-A
A. Close Access
   (1) Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
