C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

   (1) Open the left thrust-reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

4. Procedure
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 79-33-24-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Auxiliary Oil Pressure (AOP) Sensor
   (1) Find the AOP sensor (1) located approximately at the 9 o'clock position attached to the Variable Oil Reduction Valve (VORV).
   (2) Put the CONTAINER 20L (5 USGAL) under the sensor (1).
   (3) Remove the AOP sensor (1) as follows:
     (a) Disconnect the [4087KS] connector (P61) from the AOP sensor (1) with the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT.
     (b) Put a lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.P05-005) below the AOP sensor (1) to absorb any remaining oil.
     (c) Loosen the two bolts (3) that attach the AOP sensor (1) to the VORV.
     (d) Turn and remove the AOP sensor (1) from the VORV.
     (e) Remove and discard the packing (2).
   (4) Installation of the protection covers:
CAUTION: INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
     (a) Make sure that you install COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine.
