Installation of the Oil Level Sensor
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 79-31-05-010-051-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

B. Get Access

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

A. Installation of the Oil Level Sensor
(2) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Apply engine oil.
(4) Install the new O-ring (6) and new O-ring (5) in the grooves of the oil level sensor (1).
(5) Install the oil level sensor (1) on the oil tank (2).
(6) Install the two bolts (4) to attach the oil level sensor (1) on the oil tank (2) and tighten it with your hand.
(7) TORQUE the two bolts (4) to between 120.75 and 109.25 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.23 m.daN )

5. Close-upCAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU INSTALL THE OIL LEVEL SENSOR.
MAKE SURE THAT THE TUBE OF THE OIL LEVEL SENSOR IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED IN THE INTERNAL SUPPORT OF THE OIL TANK. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS PRECAUTION, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors. (2) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Apply engine oil.
WARNING:
USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. USE THE ENGINE OIL IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA. ENGINE OIL IS TOXIC.
(a) Lubricate the threads of the two bolts (4), new EIPC 79-31-05-01-040 O-RING (6) and new EIPC 79-31-05-01-030 O-RING (5) with the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) . (4) Install the new O-ring (6) and new O-ring (5) in the grooves of the oil level sensor (1).
(5) Install the oil level sensor (1) on the oil tank (2).
(6) Install the two bolts (4) to attach the oil level sensor (1) on the oil tank (2) and tighten it with your hand.
(7) TORQUE the two bolts (4) to between 120.75 and 109.25 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.23 m.daN )
. (8) Connection of the electrical connectors
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Connect the HJ6A harness electrical connector (3) to the oil level sensor (1). Subtask 79-31-05-710-050-A Subtask 79-31-05-410-050-A
B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
