3. Job Set-up
Subtask 79-21-05-941-065-A
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • The ENG/MODE selector switch and
  • The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)

4. Procedure
Subtask 79-21-05-420-057-A
A. Installation of the Anti Leak Valve
WARNING: BEFORE YOU START THE PROCEDURE, PUT A WIDE DRIP PAN ON THE GROUND TO COLLECT THE OIL THAT CAN FLOW DURING THE OPERATION. OIL ON THE FLOOR CAN CAUSE YOU TO SLIP AND FALL.
WARNING: USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. USE THE ENGINE OIL IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA. ENGINE OIL IS TOXIC.
   (1) Remove all the CAP - PROTECTION and COVER - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes and hoses.
   (2) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
   (3) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (3) with the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
   (4) Lubricate the new EIPC 79-21-05-10-120 O-RING (7) with vaseline (Material No.CP5070) .
   (5) Install the new O-ring (7) in the grooves of the anti leak valve (6).
   (6) Install the anti leak valve (6) in the lubrication unit (2).
   (7) Install a new EIPC 79-21-05-10-100 RETAINING RING (5) in the groove of the lubrication unit (2) to secure the anti leak valve (6).
   (8) Install a new
EIPC 79-21-05-01-180 GASKET (4) and the oil tube (1) on the lubrication unit (2).
   (9) Install the bolts (3), tighten by hand.
   (10) TORQUE the bolts (3) to between 120.7 and 109.3 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.24 m.daN )

   (11) Fill the oil tank (
Ref. AMM TASK 12-13-79-610-805).

B. Test
   (1) Do the idle leak check (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-815).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)
437AL 438AR.
     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)
447AL 448AR.
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
