A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

A. Do the Inspection Below:

1.Tank envelope for : Nicks, cuts and scratches in coating	Any number not penetrating through silicone coating. (Min. coating 0.40 in. (10.16 mm) None permitted exposing metal through silicone coating	Repair (Ref. AMM TASK 79-11-10-300-001)
Nicks, scratches in metal	Max. of 3 nicks or scratches 0.015 in. (0.38 mm) deep, 0.375 in. (9.53 mm) long, non joining provided damage cannot be left with 0.030 in. (0.76 mm) ball scriber.
Dents	Any number not breaking metal surface or affecting the capacity of the tank.
Cracks in metal	None permitted
Loose coating	No loose coating or metal exposure is permitted	Repair (Ref. AMM TASK 79-11-10-300-001)
