A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 78-36-00-010-094-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.

(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.

C. Retraction of the Wing Slats

RETRACT WING SLATS BEFORE OPENING THRUST REVERSER OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.
(1) Retract the wing slats (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-005) and put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position. E. Open the thrust reverser doors with one or more door opening actuator(s) defective (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-804):

A. Deactivation of the Cowl Opening Actuator
Capping of the Disconnected Inner Supply Pipe of the Cowl Opening Actuator System ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(2) Remove the cowl opening actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-000-041).
(3) Cap the disconnected inner supply pipe with flareless tube cap (MS21914-4J).
(4) TORQUE the tube cap (MS21914-4J) to between 120 and 100 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.13 m.daN )
.
(5) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION.
5. Close-up
Capping of the Disconnected Inner Supply Pipe of the Cowl Opening Actuator System ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
COVER THE CORE ENGINE COMPRESSOR CASE WITH A PROTECTIVE COVER TO MAKE SURE THAT HYDRAULIC FLUID DOES NOT LEAK ONTO THE COMPRESSOR CASE.
(1) Install COVER - PROTECTION over the compressor cases of the core. (2) Remove the cowl opening actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-000-041).
(3) Cap the disconnected inner supply pipe with flareless tube cap (MS21914-4J).
(4) TORQUE the tube cap (MS21914-4J) to between 120 and 100 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.13 m.daN )
. (5) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser cowl doors with one or more door opening actuator(s) defective (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-804):
