(4) Installation of the PTFE strip (5):
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE NEW PTFE STRIP IS SUPPLIED IN A CLOSED BLACK PACKAGE. IF NOT, THE SURFACE MATERIAL ON THE PTFE STRIP CAN BE DAMAGED AND THE PTFE STRIP WILL NOT CORRECTLY BOND TO THE FORWARD FRAME.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET THE NEW PTFE STRIP EXPOSED AT LIGHT MORE THAN TWO HOURS BEFORE INSTALLATION. IF YOU DO, THE SURFACE MATERIAL ON THE PTFE STRIP CAN BE DAMAGED AND THE PTFE STRIP WILL NOT BOND TO THE FORWARD FRAME CORRECTLY.
(a) Lightly smooth the forward frame (8) at PTFE strip (5) location with abrasive paper (Material No.CPNCL02322) . (b) Clean the forward frame and the PTFE strip (5) contact surface with a textile - lint free cotton (Material No.CPNCL02069) made moist with diestone DLS (Material No.CPNCL02589) .
