Subtask 78-32-42-860-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.
(4) Make sure that the blocker door is in the deploy position (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-860-001).
(5) Make sure that the HIX3005 SAFETY SLEEVE - PIVOTING DOOR ACTUATOR is installed on blocker door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-480-001).
Subtask 78-32-42-010-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)

Subtask 78-32-42-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Ramp Fairing
(1) Using of protective coating.
(2) Install the upper/lower ramp fairings as follows.
(a) Apply a thin layer of blindexite RT 342-2 (Material No.CP2318) on the screws (10), (30) and secure the ramp fairing with the screws (10), (30) and the nuts (20), (40).
(b) TORQUE the screws (10) to between 53 and 45 lbf.in (0.60 and 0.51 m.daN )
.
(c) TORQUE the screws (30) to between 70 and 61 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.69 m.daN )
.
(d) Remove any unwanted protective coating from the stucture with a SPATULA - NON METALLIC or equivalent.
(3) Install the deflector as follows:
(a) Apply a thin layer of blindexite RT 342-2 (Material No.CP2318) on the screws (10) then secure the deflector with the screws (10) and the nuts (20).
(b) TORQUE the screws (10) to between 53 and 45 lbf.in (0.60 and 0.51 m.daN )
.
(4) Do the steps which follow.
(b) Apply a bead of sealant (Material No.CP2243) at the junction of the upper ramp fairing with the lower ramp fairing and at the junction of the deflector with the skittle beam and the upper/lower ramp fairing SPM 706611.
(5) Make rough the bond surfaces of the new AIPC 78-32-01-03-110 STRUT SEALS (50) with CLOTH - ABRASIVE (GRADE 120-180).
(6) Cleaning.
(7) Dry the surface with a cloth before the solvent evaporates.
(8) Apply RTV 732 (Material No.CP2242) on the mating surfaces of the strut and the seals (50) SPM 706612.
(9) Install the seals (50) against the strut.
(10) Install the two caps.
(11) Fully fill the two holes of the strut with RTV 732 (Material No.CP2242) . Apply a bead of sealant around the strut SPM 706612.
5. Close-up(1) Using of protective coating.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(a) Mix protective coating PR1431 S-1 (Material No.CP2327) per manufacturer's instructions and apply a thin layer 0.007 in. (0.18 mm) max. on the structure. (2) Install the upper/lower ramp fairings as follows.
(a) Apply a thin layer of blindexite RT 342-2 (Material No.CP2318) on the screws (10), (30) and secure the ramp fairing with the screws (10), (30) and the nuts (20), (40).
(b) TORQUE the screws (10) to between 53 and 45 lbf.in (0.60 and 0.51 m.daN )
. (c) TORQUE the screws (30) to between 70 and 61 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.69 m.daN )
. (d) Remove any unwanted protective coating from the stucture with a SPATULA - NON METALLIC or equivalent.

(a) Apply a bead of sealant (Material No.CP2243) at the junction of the upper/lower cut corners with the upper/lower ramp fairings. (b) Apply a bead of sealant (Material No.CP2243) at the junction of the upper ramp fairing with the lower ramp fairing and at the junction of the deflector with the skittle beam and the upper/lower ramp fairing SPM 706611.
(5) Make rough the bond surfaces of the new AIPC 78-32-01-03-110 STRUT SEALS (50) with CLOTH - ABRASIVE (GRADE 120-180).
(6) Cleaning.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(a) Clean the surfaces on the strut and the seal (50) that were made rough with acetone (Material No.CP1039) or stoddard solvent (Material No.CP2011) or ardrox 552 (Material No.CP2559) or turco ind 79 (Material No.CP2560) or mag-chem teksol (Material No.CP2566) or degreasol 99 R (Material No.CP2584) or mag-chem skysol (Material No.CP2656) or isopropyl alcohol (Material No.CP1041) . (7) Dry the surface with a cloth before the solvent evaporates.
(8) Apply RTV 732 (Material No.CP2242) on the mating surfaces of the strut and the seals (50) SPM 706612.
(9) Install the seals (50) against the strut.
(10) Install the two caps.
(11) Fully fill the two holes of the strut with RTV 732 (Material No.CP2242) . Apply a bead of sealant around the strut SPM 706612.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser half doors but do not make the thrust reverser serviceable: (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-040)
