Removal of the Pylon TRAS Track Lock Harness

     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

E. Disconnection of the Pylon TRAS Monitoring Harness Connectors
   (1) Disconnect the pylon TRAS monitoring harness connectors (4053VC-A) and (4052VC-A) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-61-000-813).
   (2) Disconnect the pylon TRAS monitoring harness connectors (4055VC-A) and (4054VC-A) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-61-000-813).
   (3) Installation of the protection covers
CAUTION: INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
     (a) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the electrical connectors.
4. Procedure
Subtask 78-31-62-020-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Pylon TRAS Track Lock Harness
   (1) Remove the pylon TRAS track lock harness (1) (4135KS).
     (a) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the pylon TRAS track lock harness (1) connector (4050VC-A) from the left TRAS track lock harness.
     (b) Remove the pylon TRAS monitoring harness and pylon TRAS track lock harness (1) from the frame (4) and insert (2).
     (c) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the pylon TRAS track lock harness (1) connector (4051VC-A) from the right TRAS track lock harness.
     (d) Remove the pylon TRAS monitoring harness and TRAS track lock harness (1) from the frame (5) and insert (3).
     (e) Remove the four bolts (15) and the four washers (14) that attach the two frames (12) to the rear ramp bracket. Remove the pylon TRAS track lock harness (1) from the two inserts (13).
NOTE: Do not remove the pylon TRAS monitoring harness from the frames and inserts.
     (f) Remove the two screws (18) and the two washers (17) that attach the two clamps (16) and the pylon TRAS track lock harness (1) to the pylon brackets. Attach the two clamps and the pylon TRAS monitoring harness back to the pylon brackets with the two screws (18) and the two washers (17). Tighten the two screws (18) finger-tight.
     (g) Remove the two clamps (16) from the pylon TRAS track lock harness (1).
     (h) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the pylon TRAS track lock harness (1) connector (752VC-A) from the pylon interface.
     (i) Remove the pylon TRAS track lock harness (1) from the two spring clips on the rear ramp bracket.
     (j) Remove the pylon TRAS track lock harness (1) from the engine.
   (2) If necessary, remove the frames (4) and (5).
     (a) Remove the two bolts (6), the four washers (7) and the two nuts (8) that attach the frame (4) to the torque box bracket. Remove the frame (4).
     (b) Remove the two bolts (9), the four washers (10) and the two nuts (11) that attach the frame (5) to the torque box bracket. Remove the frame (5).
   (3) Installation of the protection covers
CAUTION: INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
     (a) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the electrical connectors.
