B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (1) is in the inhibited position.
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position.
(3) Make sure that the pylon access panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-805).

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (1) is in the inhibited position.
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position.
(3) Make sure that the pylon access panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-805).

A. Installation of the Upper Inhibit Lever Cable
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(2) Clean the screws (9), the captive nuts and the surface of the pylon.
(3) Attach the upper inhibit lever cable (1) to the pylon with the two screws (9) and the two washers (10).
(4) TORQUE the two screws (9) to between 42.5 and 32.7 lbf.in (0.48 and 0.37 m.daN )
.
(5) Apply the Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) on the screws (9) and its captive nuts.
(6) Connect the lower inhibit cable to the upper inhibit cable.
(a) Move the quick release sleeve (8) on the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (7) back and turn to lock in position.
(c) Engage the two guides (11) on the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (7):
If you cannot do this, adjust the lower inhibit cable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-06-820-801).
(d) Close the quick release sleeve (8):
2 Make sure that the quick release sleeve (8) touches the upper inhibit cable (1) or there is only a very small distance between them.
(e) If the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (7) and the upper inhibit cable (1) are not engaged correctly, adjust the lower inhibit cable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-06-820-801).
(7) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):

(8) Connect the upper inhibit lever cable (1) to the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) (4) with the nut (2).
(9) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 44.2 and 26.5 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.30 m.daN )

5. Close-up(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

(6) Connect the lower inhibit cable to the upper inhibit cable.
(a) Move the quick release sleeve (8) on the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (7) back and turn to lock in position.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THE LOWER INHIBIT CABLE HANDLE ASSEMBLY AND THE UPPER INHIBIT CABLE ENGAGE CORRECTLY. IF THE LOWER INHIBIT CABLE HANDLE ASSEMBLY AND THE UPPER INHIBIT CABLE ARE NOT ENGAGED CORRECTLY, THE SYSTEM CAN OPERATE INCORRECTLY.
(b) Engage the lower inhibit cable handle assembly connector (6) and the upper inhibit cable connector (5). (c) Engage the two guides (11) on the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (7):
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN EASILY ENGAGE THE TWO GUIDES ON THE LOWER INHIBIT CABLE ASSEMBLY IN THE INTERFACE GROOVE ON THE UPPER INHIBIT CABLE. IF THE GUIDES AND THE INTERFACE GROOVE ARE NOT ENGAGED CORRECTLY, THE SYSTEM CAN OPERATE INCORRECTLY.
1 Engage the two guides (11) on the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (7) to the interface groove on the upper inhibit cable (1).If you cannot do this, adjust the lower inhibit cable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-06-820-801).
(d) Close the quick release sleeve (8):
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN EASILY CLOSE THE QUICK-RELEASE SLEEVE. IF YOU USE FORCE TO PUSH OR PULL THE QUICK-RELEASE SLEEVE, DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENT CAN OCCUR AND THE SYSTEM CAN OPERATE INCORRECTLY.
1 Turn the quick release sleeve (8) on the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (7) to unlock and move it up to close. 2 Make sure that the quick release sleeve (8) touches the upper inhibit cable (1) or there is only a very small distance between them.
(e) If the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (7) and the upper inhibit cable (1) are not engaged correctly, adjust the lower inhibit cable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-06-820-801).
(7) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):

(8) Connect the upper inhibit lever cable (1) to the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) (4) with the nut (2).
(9) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 44.2 and 26.5 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.30 m.daN )
. WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
(10) Safety the nut (2) with the new AIPC 78-36-86-02-010 PIN (3). Subtask 78-31-06-410-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panel on the pylon (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-400-805).

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Put the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (1) in the active position.
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panel on the pylon (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-400-805).

Inhibit Cable Handle Assembly
