Removal of the Aft Vibration Sensor N1
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE AFTER SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE CAN STAY HOT FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE AFT VIBRATION SENSOR CABLE DOES NOT TOUCH SHARP-EDGE SURFACES, FUEL LINES, OIL LINES, HIGH PRESSURE PNEUMATIC DUCTS, PNEUMATIC SENSOR LINES, OR FABRIC BELLOWS. MAKE SURE THAT THE AFT VIBRATION SENSOR CABLE DOES NOT HAVE ANY KINKS. IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THIS INSTRUCTION YOU COULD DAMAGE THE AFT VIBRATION SENSOR CABLE.

YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). E. Get Access

4. Procedure(1) Open the right thrust-reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 77-32-22-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Removal of the Aft Vibration Sensor N1
(1) Find the aft vibration sensor (2) at the 3 o'clock position aft looking forward on the engine core.
(2) Remove the sensor (2) from the engine as follows:
(a) Disconnect the wiring harnesses (W03) connectors (P51) from the sensor (2) receptacle (J51) with the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT. See the sheet 2 of the figure.
(b) Remove the two bolts (1) from the sensor (2) and the Flange H bracket.
(c) Remove the sensor (2) cable sleeves from the seven spring clips. See the sheets 3, 4 and 5 of the figure.
(d) Remove the two bolts (12) and nuts (13) from the sensor (2) and the Flange P bracket. See the sheet 5 of the figure.
(e) Remove the sensor (2) from the engine core.
(3) Installation of protection covers
(1) Find the aft vibration sensor (2) at the 3 o'clock position aft looking forward on the engine core.
(2) Remove the sensor (2) from the engine as follows:
(a) Disconnect the wiring harnesses (W03) connectors (P51) from the sensor (2) receptacle (J51) with the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT. See the sheet 2 of the figure.
(b) Remove the two bolts (1) from the sensor (2) and the Flange H bracket.
(c) Remove the sensor (2) cable sleeves from the seven spring clips. See the sheets 3, 4 and 5 of the figure.
(d) Remove the two bolts (12) and nuts (13) from the sensor (2) and the Flange P bracket. See the sheet 5 of the figure.
(e) Remove the sensor (2) from the engine core.
(3) Installation of protection covers
CAUTION:
INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(a) Make sure that you install COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine.
