C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance

YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). D. Get Access
(1) Open the right thrust-reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

4. Procedure(1) Open the right thrust-reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

A. Remove the N2 Speed Transducer
(1) Make sure that you wipe clean all the parts and tools to remove contamination and to prevent damage to the engine.
(2) Find the N2 speed transducer (1) attached to the Angle Gearbox (AGB) at the 5 o'clock position.
(3) Disconnect the wiring harnesses (W03) and (W04) connectors (P64) and (P63) from the transducer (1) with the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT.
(4) Remove the N2 speed transducer (1) from the AGB as follows:
(a) Remove the two bolts (2) from the transducer (1).
(b) Remove the transducer (1) from the AGB.
(c) Remove and discard the packing (3) from the transducer (1).
(5) Installation of protection covers
(1) Make sure that you wipe clean all the parts and tools to remove contamination and to prevent damage to the engine.
(2) Find the N2 speed transducer (1) attached to the Angle Gearbox (AGB) at the 5 o'clock position.
(3) Disconnect the wiring harnesses (W03) and (W04) connectors (P64) and (P63) from the transducer (1) with the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT.
(4) Remove the N2 speed transducer (1) from the AGB as follows:
(a) Remove the two bolts (2) from the transducer (1).
(b) Remove the transducer (1) from the AGB.
(c) Remove and discard the packing (3) from the transducer (1).
(5) Installation of protection covers
CAUTION:
INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(a) Make sure that you install COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine.
