A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 75-32-42-010-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.

C. Make sure that the thrust reverser Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) is deactivated: (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012)
Subtask 75-32-42-820-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL D. Install the rig pins
(1) Make sure that the IAE1R18891 PIN, RIGGING, is still in position in the actuator ram.
(2) Make sure that the IAE1R18892 PIN, RIGGING or IAE1R18893 PIN, RIGGING or IAE1R18894 PIN, RIGGING or IAE1R18895 PIN, RIGGING, are still in position, one in each unison ring.
(3) Install the IAE1R18254 PIN RIGGING, in to the crankshaft assembly so that the pin goes through the rig pin hole in the front bearing housing and the crankshaft.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the IAE1R18891 PIN, RIGGING, is still in position in the actuator ram.
(2) Make sure that the IAE1R18892 PIN, RIGGING or IAE1R18893 PIN, RIGGING or IAE1R18894 PIN, RIGGING or IAE1R18895 PIN, RIGGING, are still in position, one in each unison ring.
(3) Install the IAE1R18254 PIN RIGGING, in to the crankshaft assembly so that the pin goes through the rig pin hole in the front bearing housing and the crankshaft.

A. Install the crankshaft assembly
PRE SBE 72-0366
(1) Install the rear bearing housing on the crankshaft.
(2) Put the crankshaft assembly (3) into position on the compressor case.
(3) Put the bracket (2) into position on the upper forward mounting foot of the crankshaft assembly (3).
(4) Install the four bolts (1).
(5) TORQUE the four bolts (1) to between 220 and 180 lbf.in (2.49 and 2.03 m.daN )

(5) Install the four bolts (1).

YOU MUST MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE RIG PINS ARE REMOVED BEFORE THE ENGINE IS OPERATED. THE VSV MECHANISM WILL BE DAMAGED IF THE PINS ARE NOT REMOVED AND THE ENGINE IS OPERATED.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser halves (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-410-010):
