A. Safety Precautions
(1) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
Subtask 75-24-49-010-069-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). D. Get Access
(1) Open the right thrust reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

4. Procedure(1) Open the right thrust reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 75-24-49-020-071-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Removal of the Turbine Active Clearance Control (ACC) Ducts
(1) Find the ACC ducts (AD03) (1) and (AD04) (16) located at approximately the 1 o'clock position and connected to the ACC valve.
(2) Remove the ACC duct (AD03) (1) from the ACC valve as follows:
(a) Remove the clamp (5).
(b) Remove the two nuts (4) and the two bolts (2).
(c) Disconnect the two connecting links from the ACC duct (AD03) (1).
(d) Remove the clamp (3).
(e) Disconnect the cooling air tube.
(f) Remove the ACC duct (AD03) (1).
(3) Remove the ACC valve (Ref. AMM TASK 75-24-01-000-801).
(4) Remove the ACC duct (AD04) (16) from the ACC valve and the manifolds as follows:
(a) Remove the clamp (17).
(b) Remove the four bolts (15).
(c) Remove the ACC duct (AD04) (16) and the seal (18) closest to the ACC duct (AD04) (16).
(d) Remove the seal (18) from the ACC duct (AD04) (16) tabs.
(e) Disengage the coupling (19) and the seal (18) that remains, from the tabs on the tube if necessary.
(f) Remove the coupling (19) and the seal (18) from the tube if necessary.
(g) Discard the two removed seals (18).
(1) Find the ACC ducts (AD03) (1) and (AD04) (16) located at approximately the 1 o'clock position and connected to the ACC valve.
(2) Remove the ACC duct (AD03) (1) from the ACC valve as follows:
(a) Remove the clamp (5).
(b) Remove the two nuts (4) and the two bolts (2).
(c) Disconnect the two connecting links from the ACC duct (AD03) (1).
(d) Remove the clamp (3).
(e) Disconnect the cooling air tube.
(f) Remove the ACC duct (AD03) (1).
(3) Remove the ACC valve (Ref. AMM TASK 75-24-01-000-801).
(4) Remove the ACC duct (AD04) (16) from the ACC valve and the manifolds as follows:
(a) Remove the clamp (17).
(b) Remove the four bolts (15).
(c) Remove the ACC duct (AD04) (16) and the seal (18) closest to the ACC duct (AD04) (16).
(d) Remove the seal (18) from the ACC duct (AD04) (16) tabs.
(e) Disengage the coupling (19) and the seal (18) that remains, from the tabs on the tube if necessary.
(f) Remove the coupling (19) and the seal (18) from the tube if necessary.
(g) Discard the two removed seals (18).
CAUTION:
INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(5) Make sure that you install the COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent the damage to the engine.
