BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 75-11-05-010-050-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 75-11-05-010-051-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-809). D. Open the right thrust-reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

A. Removal of the Starter Bleed/Booster Anti-Ice Valve
(1) Remove the start bleed leg-air-duct (4) as follows:
(a) Remove the two bolts (5) that attach the start bleed leg-air-duct (4) to the support bracket (6).
(b) Hold the start bleed leg-air-duct (4) and remove the coupling (2) that attaches the start bleed leg-air-duct (4) to the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1).
(c) Remove the start bleed leg-air-duct (4) from the engine.
(d) Remove and discard the seal (3).
(2) Remove the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1) as follows:
(b) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the area of the fuel manifold (9).
(c) Disconnect the drain tube (10) B-nut from the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1).

(d) Removal of the safety wire or cable.
(e) Disconnect the fuel manifold (9) B-nuts (2 locations) from the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1).
POST SB 72-0190
(f) Removal of the safety wire or cable.
(g) Disconnect the fuel tube (9) B-nuts (2 locations) from the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1).

(h) Remove the coupling (12) that attaches the booster anti-ice air tube (11) to the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1).
(i) Remove and discard the seal (13).
(j) Remove the coupling (15) that attaches the start bleed tube-duct (14) to the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1).
(k) Remove and discard the seal (16).

(l) Hold the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1) and remove the two bolts (17) that attach the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1) to the bracket (7).

(m) Remove the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1) from the engine.
Subtask 75-11-05-620-050-A (1) Remove the start bleed leg-air-duct (4) as follows:
(a) Remove the two bolts (5) that attach the start bleed leg-air-duct (4) to the support bracket (6).
(b) Hold the start bleed leg-air-duct (4) and remove the coupling (2) that attaches the start bleed leg-air-duct (4) to the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1).
(c) Remove the start bleed leg-air-duct (4) from the engine.
(d) Remove and discard the seal (3).
(2) Remove the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1) as follows:
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET AIRCRAFT FUEL IN YOUR MOUTH OR IN YOUR EYES.
IF YOU GET FUEL ON YOUR SKIN OR ON YOUR CLOTHES, FLUSH IT IMMEDIATELY WITH WATER.
IF NECESSARY, GET MEDICAL HELP.
AIRCRAFT FUEL IS POISONOUS.
(a) Disconnect the electrical connector (8) from the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804). (b) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the area of the fuel manifold (9).
(c) Disconnect the drain tube (10) B-nut from the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1).

(d) Removal of the safety wire or cable.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
1 Remove safety wire or cable from fuel manifold (9) B-nuts. (e) Disconnect the fuel manifold (9) B-nuts (2 locations) from the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1).
NOTE: The fuel manifold (9) is connected to the starter bleed/booster at two locations. There are two different size B-nuts on these two tubes that are part of the fuel manifold (9).

(f) Removal of the safety wire or cable.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
1 Remove safety wire or cable from fuel tube (9) B-nuts. (g) Disconnect the fuel tube (9) B-nuts (2 locations) from the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1).
NOTE: There are two different size B-nuts on these two tubes.

(h) Remove the coupling (12) that attaches the booster anti-ice air tube (11) to the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1).
(i) Remove and discard the seal (13).
(j) Remove the coupling (15) that attaches the start bleed tube-duct (14) to the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1).
(k) Remove and discard the seal (16).

(l) Hold the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1) and remove the two bolts (17) that attach the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve (1) to the bracket (7).

B. Preservation of the Starter Bleed/Booster Anti-Ice Valve
(1) In the instance of shipping or prolonged storage, preserve the starter bleed/booster anti-ice valve per theCMM 751105 .
