B. Visually examine the ignitor plug according to the following acceptance standards:
(1) Visually inspect for cracks in the plug body and the ceramic insulator.
Cracks are not permitted.
(2) Visually inspect the terminal button for arc sign (erosion).
Too much erosion is not permitted.
(3) Visually inspect the ceramic insulator for discharge sign.
Discharge sign is not permitted.
(4) Inspect the ground electrode for erosion with IAE2J13314 GAUGE-EROSION MEASURING.
Erosion that is more than the limit shown is not permitted.
(5) Visually inspect the ignitor plug for localized wear.
Wear exceeding 0.03 in. (0.76 mm) depth or wear which breaks through to an internal cooling hole is not permitted.
(6) Visually inspect threads of ignitor plug.
Damaged thread are not acceptable.
(7) Detect the internal cracks or breaks by shaking plug and listening for sound. Internal cracks are not permitted.
