Removal of the Fuel Filter Differential Pressure Sensor

YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). D. Get Access
(1) Open the right thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

4. Procedure(1) Open the right thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 73-34-21-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Removal of the Fuel Filter Differential Pressure Sensor
(1) Find the fuel filter differential pressure sensor (1) attached to the fuel manifold housing at the 4 o'clock position.
(2) Drain the engine fuel system at the fuel manifold as follows:
(b) Remove the drain plug (4) as follows:
2 Turn the drain plug (4) to disengage the retention tab from under the retention bolt (2) and washer (3).
3 Removal of the drain plug
(c) Drain the fuel into the CONTAINER 20L (5 USGAL).
(d) Wipe the remaining fuel with a lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.P05-005) .
(e) Remove and discard the packing (5) from the drain plug (4).
(f) ApplyP03-001 lubricant, aircraft turbine engine to a new EIPC 73-11-02-01-280 PACKING (5).
(g) Install the EIPC 73-11-02-01-280 PACKING (5) to the drain plug (4).
(h) Installation of the drain plug
(i) Make sure that the drain plug (4) is fully seated against the mating surface.
(j) Turn the drain plug (4) so the retention tab is under the retention bolt (2) and washer (3).
(k) TORQUE the drain plug retention bolt (2) to between 70 and 60 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.68 m.daN )
.
(3) Remove the fuel filter differential pressure sensor (1) from the damper on the fuel manifold as follows:
(a) Disconnect the wiring harness (WC08) connector (P34) from the sensor receptacle (J34) with the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT.
(b) Loosen the two bolts (6) on the fuel manifold housing.
(c) Turn and remove the fuel filter differential pressure sensor (1) from the fuel manifold housing.
(d) Discard the packings (7) and (8).
(4) Installation of the protection covers.
(1) Find the fuel filter differential pressure sensor (1) attached to the fuel manifold housing at the 4 o'clock position.
(2) Drain the engine fuel system at the fuel manifold as follows:
WARNING:
DO NOT GET FUEL IN YOUR MOUTH, EYES OR ON YOUR SKIN. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM THE FUEL. KEEP THE FUEL AWAY FROM SPARKS, FLAME AND HEAT. FUEL IS POISONOUS AND FLAMMABLE, WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Put a CONTAINER 20L (5 USGAL) under fuel drain port on the fuel manifold. (b) Remove the drain plug (4) as follows:
CAUTION:
DO NOT PRY ON THE RETENTION TAB TO REMOVE THE DRAIN PLUG. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE DRAIN PLUG CAN OCCUR.
1 Loosen the drain plug retention bolt (2) on fuel manifold. 2 Turn the drain plug (4) to disengage the retention tab from under the retention bolt (2) and washer (3).
3 Removal of the drain plug
CAUTION:
DO NOT PRY ON THE RETENTION TAB TO REMOVE THE DRAIN PLUG. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE DRAIN PLUG CAN OCCUR.
a Hold the drain plug (4) by the square, turn and pull it as necessary to remove it from the fuel manifold. (c) Drain the fuel into the CONTAINER 20L (5 USGAL).
(d) Wipe the remaining fuel with a lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.P05-005) .
(e) Remove and discard the packing (5) from the drain plug (4).
(f) Apply
(g) Install the EIPC 73-11-02-01-280 PACKING (5) to the drain plug (4).
(h) Installation of the drain plug
CAUTION:
DO NOT PUSH ON THE RETENTION TAB TO INSTALL THE DRAIN PLUG. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE DRAIN PLUG CAN OCCUR.
1 Hold the drain plug (4) at the square and press and turn the drain plug until it fully seats against the fuel manifold. (i) Make sure that the drain plug (4) is fully seated against the mating surface.
(j) Turn the drain plug (4) so the retention tab is under the retention bolt (2) and washer (3).
(k) TORQUE the drain plug retention bolt (2) to between 70 and 60 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.68 m.daN )
. (3) Remove the fuel filter differential pressure sensor (1) from the damper on the fuel manifold as follows:
(a) Disconnect the wiring harness (WC08) connector (P34) from the sensor receptacle (J34) with the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT.
(b) Loosen the two bolts (6) on the fuel manifold housing.
(c) Turn and remove the fuel filter differential pressure sensor (1) from the fuel manifold housing.
(d) Discard the packings (7) and (8).
(4) Installation of the protection covers.
CAUTION:
INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(a) Make sure that you install COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine.
