Removal of the EEC Wiring Harness (WC10)

   (1) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring and to stop the electrical supply to the Electronic Engine Control (EEC)
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-832).

B. Get Access
   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

D. Get Access
   (1) Open the left thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

4. Procedure
Subtask 73-21-69-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the EEC Wiring Harness (WC10)
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
   (1) Find the harness (WC10) (1) attached to the left hand side of the engine core.
   (2) Remove the TIE WRAP(S) from the harness (WC10) (1) and harness (W03).
   (3) Remove the harness (WC10) (1) from the engine as follows:
     (a) Disconnect the harness (WC10) (1) connectors from the engine with the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT as follows:
       1 Disconnect the connector (P53) from the air pressure sensor.
       2 Disconnect the connectors (P110) from the harness (W03).
       3 Disconnect the connector (P29) from the HPC slave actuator.
       4 Disconnect the connector (P40) from the active oil damper valve.
       5 Disconnect the connector (P52) from the fuel oil cooler bypass valve.
       6 Disconnect the connector (P38) from the main oil pressure sensor.
       7 Disconnect the connector (P35) from the oil filter differential pressure sensor.
     (b) Disengage the harness (WC10) (1) from the spring clips.
     (c) Remove the harness (WC10) (1) from the engine.
   (4) Installation of protection covers
CAUTION: INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
     (a) Make sure that you install COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine.
